I suggest everyone do this as well, just to make sure the ad source is cleared out on both end of NICO.

Are you sure you went to your cookies folder and deleted everything?

Well I didn't go into the folder per say, but I did click "Clear Browsing History". Since I started surfing today I haven't seen any so it seems fixed for me.

EDIT:I cleared browsing history last night FYI

So far I've been on NICO for about an hour and haven't received any of the "in between page load" ads. So far so good, gonna have to check again after work.

What's happening 1/1/10 Greg? Now I'll be wondering all day

I don't know if it's just my computer, but these past couple of days Nico's page has been loading up pretty slow. It just seems to be NICO that loads slow, all the other sites I go to do not have any other problems. Is this due to that BING.com add that I just noticed to the right hand side??

CAUGHT IN THE ACT! I know this thread is semi-old, but the problem is still here. Search led me to this thread, and lo and behold I've already posted in it.

Yep - That one's hiding somewhere, we've gone through over and over to get rid of it....

Not really worth the time investment at this point - It comes and goes instantaneously, it's not delaying anything, and we're doing a massive upgrade right now anyway (that will start us off with a clean slate).

So, bear with us.

::gets excited about Greg's post::

Are you going to have a beta NICO? Is there going to be a press release about it's delivery date?

LOL Ace...

Phase One of the upgrading is done... DNS should update within the next hour.

It's not something really "visible" as of yet, just a major upgrade of all the static pages on NICO (everything non-forums) to a WordPress design on a MUCH faster server.

Quicker load times, reduced server load, and increased visibility to the search engines.

Plus, a lot more functionality for staff to load new articles and get good, relevant useful content out to you guys much more expediently.

Phase Two will involve stuff you CAN see. Big forum changes. We left that for last, as it's always good to have a solid foundation and lay the groundwork for the updates to the dynamic portions of the site.

It probably has something to do with it, but FireNICO isn't licensed by NICO.

So Greg, like, the article pages and Jerry's pages are now on a new server? Cool stuff. ETA on the forum changes yet?
