If i'm 6'3" 270lbs and can comfortably fit in one, i'm fairly confident MoD can fit in one too. It really all depends on who it is though and also making sure that the proper seat modifications are put in place if you plan on owning one. A "foamectomy" works wonders for tall people in them.

Greg did the foamectomy in his. He said it does help quite a bit. I need one in Bella. The seats in that car sit ridiculously high.

Maybe I have a freakishly long torso or something. (I'm 6'2", 190lbs) I do NOT like to drive the wife's Miata. She's had 2 of them, and I didn't like either one (both NA's). There is no way for me to position myself in that car so that my hands don't hit my legs when turning the wheel and have the seat in such a way that I can see out of it. I have to move the seat forward a few clicks from the furthest it will go back so the seat back can be tilted back more, so I can see out of the windshield below the rearview mirror. That makes my knees come up more, and then my hands hit my knees when I turn. I also think the rear visibility is terrible, but I'm used to no rear-view mirror at all, so I don't care that much about it anyway. If I ever had to have a Miata, I would probably remove the rear view mirror all together so I don't have an obstructed view out of the front of the car.

All of that being said, if the seat was modified to so that my a** was lower to the floor of the car by about 2-3", I think all would be well, LOL.

I've driven a completely stock one before and had fairly similar complaints. Until Greg bought one, I was completely convinced that I could never own one.

Doing the foamectomy to the seat will lower you about 2-3" too and it'll also move you back 2" or so. It really makes a huge difference.

Another problem you may be having is actually with the steering wheel(if it's OEM). I purchased an aftermarket wheel and it also freed up a lot of space. One reason being because it moves the wheel forward some and the wheel is a little smaller.

Visibility isn't great on mine either, but I can live with it. Robbins actually makes a top with a bigger rear window, but I didn't opt for it when I replaced mine because it was an extra $75 or so. I figure most of the time i'm driving it the top will be down anyways, so it should matter much.

I'm planning on making it to one major NICO event this year. Maybe I can check out somebody's Miata seat and see how much difference it makes.

Driving Greg's foam-dissected Miata made me feel as if I was squatting down to poop.

Of course, I'm 5'8". :P
