All manufactures reuse parts. It saves money. I don't see people taking a lexus and putting a toyota badge on it. Some reason only acuras and infinitis want to go back to their non luxary brand.
Open your eyes and look around. Ever hear of a Toyota Altezza. Over here is USDM land, it's sold as a Lexus IS300. A lot of people rebadge them. There is another one for a larger Lexus, but I don't know/remember Toyota stuff very well.

FWIW, Nissan doesn't "re-use" parts for Infiniti, or vise versa. Infiniti is simply a thing sold in the USDM and KDM. Basically, the only countries that need a "luxury" brand are the countries where cars are a status symbol. Everywhere else in the world, people know when they buy a "Nissan Fuga" it is a hell of a lot better than a Nissan Sentra. No need to call the Nissan Fuga an Infiniti M45. They just know. I didn't buy my car as a status symbol. If I feel the need to "prove status", I'll pull out my checkbook.

If you guys want to get rid of your Infiniti emblems, let me know! I'm looking for some to integrate in my stereo.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but one thing to consider is that Infiniti's are Japanese Nissans built for the US, whereas USDM Nissans are built here.

Why does that make a difference? Because Americans can't make quality if it was completely automated!!! lol J/K

Infinitis are built for quality, not numbers. USDM Nissans are built for numbers.

I prefer having an Infiniti because there aren't many optional items and I feel more comfortable knowing the car was built where pride in workmanship is still alive.

I have no problem with people switching badges to Nissan Skyline. But my thing is if you are going to do something, at least do it right. I saw a nice black g35 coupe this morning with the Nissan badge up front and a GTR badge in the rear...

My daughter recently returned after living for two years in Japan. My G is a Skyline as far as she is concerned. When she sent pictures of the car over to her friends in Japan, they said "Oh, be careful, you have the fast Skyline!"

I saw a V35 coupe with Nissan Skyline badge on it in South San Francisco yesterday. Not that many in San Francisco area.
