Open your eyes and look around. Ever hear of a Toyota Altezza. Over here is USDM land, it's sold as a Lexus IS300. A lot of people rebadge them. There is another one for a larger Lexus, but I don't know/remember Toyota stuff very well.TeflonG35 wrote:
All manufactures reuse parts. It saves money. I don't see people taking a lexus and putting a toyota badge on it. Some reason only acuras and infinitis want to go back to their non luxary brand.
FWIW, Nissan doesn't "re-use" parts for Infiniti, or vise versa. Infiniti is simply a thing sold in the USDM and KDM. Basically, the only countries that need a "luxury" brand are the countries where cars are a status symbol. Everywhere else in the world, people know when they buy a "Nissan Fuga" it is a hell of a lot better than a Nissan Sentra. No need to call the Nissan Fuga an Infiniti M45. They just know. I didn't buy my car as a status symbol. If I feel the need to "prove status", I'll pull out my checkbook.
