Why is the Injen intake so cheap from hopupracing.com?

for the 3.5 SE, the 'Injen SP Short Ram Intake, Color: Polished Model: SP1977P, BLK 08 Nissan Altima Coupe V6" is $219.00 w/ free shipping. All other sites it is between $250 - $275.....

Anyone use hopupracing before? I want to make sure that I'm not going to buy a product that is somehow inferior in quality to the other dealers parts,,,

Wow, if that's true, that's a really good price. I bought mine when it first came out for $271, so if you can get it for that price, I'd say jump on it. Injen is Injen so you're not going to get an inferior product.

Wow, from the sounds of it, they don't seem to have the greatest customer service. But, that may have been an isolated case. There's always two sides to every story, and the truth usually falls somewhere in between. Maybe the OP of that thread was being a jerk about the whole thing? We'll never know.

Just a quick update that I have not yet received my Tracking # for the order... Thereby it very likely has not yet shipped after roughly 5 business days. But we had the New Year's holiday in there.....

I have personally ordered from HopUp in the past and haven't had any issues. They typically have good prices and an extensive website/inventory. A lot of times, if your address doesn't match the billing address on the credit card, nothing will happen. Nobody at a shop wants to call and tell people that "oh btw you need a different address for this order".

I'm glad that everything worked out well for you. We try our hardest to stock as much as we can. Stillen occupies over 200,000 sq. ft. and a large majority of that is just for our warehouse in Costa Mesa.

Update all; I still have my order open w/ hopupracing, they said it will ship this week definitely. In my first post I predicted the lower price would come along with the baggage that it would be slow to ship, and it seems true. Hopefully the product will be perfect quality,,, other than that though, I don't think hopup has done a bad job. Sure they are a lot slower than stillen (which I will probably order from in the future), but for this go-around I saved a few bucks and I will eventually have the product. I'm guessing hop-up is a very small business (probably 2 employees, start-up company, etc).

Good luck with that! When I spoke to them, they said it would be a week or TWO before they would get another shipment of intakes . And that was Yesterday! I got my refund, hung up on them, called stillen, and after ordering from them, I'm now driving around with my new intake!!

Basically, hopup seems like a smaller company and will take maybe 1-2 weeks to ship... Stillen seems like they will ship the same day you order or the next day. You might get a better $$ price at hopup though.

Well, 1st thought after installation was ...I love it!!! I mean I've read everyone's posts on how it sounds, and I've heard sound clips on youtube, but there's nothing like hearing it for yourself. Eric's description at each rpm was spot on!! At WOT, it's a thing of beauty!
