why is every exhaust for the 240 a fart can?

I have the original fart can! Whatever, I wanted an Apex'i N1 at the time, so I bought one. I still like the deep rumble, it still doesn't look half bad(even with everyone playing it out with the ebay knockoffs), and I'm pushing 18 psi, so the big piping helps. Only thing I don't like about it is that it's a cop magnet.

lets be realistic, 240's are old as balls, we have to spend all that money to make it up to par and feel nice.

quite the bubble your in.
I didn't say to get an "ugly" one -like I did. I was saying that you can get a functional and nice for much much less.
Just didn't expect to see that all the recommendations are above $500. And I am talking about a stock car.

Also are you really sure that I am in a bubble?

You do realize that Scotty 2-Forty is NICO's "Ride of the Month" for June, right? :slap:

to those that need a APEX-i n1 or similar because a normal muffler will not flow, props!

You've done lots of research right? You've flowbenched stock KA heads and realized that there is absolutely no loss from running larger diameter piping, right?

You also know that at some point the thought of boost crosses most every s chassis owner's mind, correct? Why settle for something smaller when you'll just want to upgrade down the road.

I leave you with this picture. It is actually quite relevant to this thread.

I admire Scotty for his dedication. And Broadfield and other people. There are very few people that can pull out and really need a "performance" exhaust. I am not talking about them. We need more ROTM and modified but clean 240s.

Nice pic ^-^. I have the N1 exhaust on the coupe now, but switching to the megaphone when I get home on leave ; ). This thread is silly, btw. There are so many threads of people asking 'what exhaust should I get'..

The thread wasn't started for what exhaust to get. It was started since about 95% of the exhaust i've seen for it are single outlet. I just don't get how it's ok when you don't need it to have a car that can be heard for 4 or 5 miles. I'm not trying to fan the fire.

As one person stated they are cop magnets I have a feeling they would have a bit more of a sense of humor if so many poopboxes didn't have them.

Wow ... :lolling: "240's are old as balls" ... who's, yours or your mom's? So by this ASSessment, I guess you're not too much into classic cars either? Actually, I'm having a hard time figuring out if you were directing your comment at me or someone else? But, since you posted with those little "^^^" hoojamajigs directing attention to my reply, one would believe it was to me. How 'bout you post yours up and let's see a real car. Sorry to burst your bubble and throw a rock right back in your glass house. :inoutgay:

... thanks for the props simmode1 and zenkistic. :dblthumb:

Then what did you start the thread for? Trolling? Cause you succeeded...

Sounds like you're trying to preach that we don't need 3 inch piping. As previously stated, the KA LOVES wide piping. It's been proven (many times) to continue to make power, even N/A. But the best reason was previously stated as well: why do something twice, when you can just plan ahead and get the exhaust you need for the power you're planning?

Personally, I say hold off on big piping until you need it. But whatever. It's the owner's prerogative. If someone asks you, feel free to offer your opinion. But theres no need to be condescending or throw about unsolicited and incorrect info.

And it's now locked. It's turning into nothing but a flame fest, with one guy talking down on S-Chassis and everyone else pretty much kicking him in the balls... If an admin sees it necessary to unlock it, cool, but I'm not unlocking it.
