Because anything that is said with a British accent sounds neat.

Seriously though, Top Gear rocks, the British version at least, Ive never seen the Americanized version.

It's just THE car show. I've watched every single episode I could find online and I watch reruns of it on BBCA every now and then. Super cars and three hilarious people FTW

Top Gear ftw.

TG is the most legit car show currently airing. I love the cars, the hilarious cast, and the test track runs.

Don't forget the 'star in a reasonably priced car' segments. You got to love em'

This show is badass! You don't even have to be into cars to enjoy it. My girl watches it with me and she hates my little hobby. Its just that those are guys are really funny, and like FlatBlack said anything said with a British accent sounds cool. The real thing that stands out from this show is that I don't get fed propaganda. If they say a Mercedes Benz is a good car its because they think its a good car, its not Mercedes paying the BBC millions of Dollars (Pounds w/e) to force feed me the Mercedes Benz. They can talk 5hi7 about any car they like with out having to worry what the sponsors are gonna think because there are no sponsors. Sure they may be biased towards some brands but its them being biased not the network telling them to, because of some royalty the car companys paying the network.Thats why I think this show would never work here in the U.S. It won't be about what car the host likes or dislikes, it'll be about what car company can pay the network more money.

the show is just entertaining plain and simple. they do things that i wish i could do with cars and they give a pure unbiased opinion as to why a car is good or bad. things i would think are bad might be good and vice-versa. as said earlier, they have unlimited funding to do whatever they want and honestly u really can't find any other show that will have the same driver wring out all kinds of cars on a track whether its a sunny day or a rainy one.

Does anyone dislike Top Gear?

I like Best Motoring a *little* better as it's a little more technical, but unfortunately that's not something I can catch on TV.

Top Gear is definitely the next best thing.

Some of you are missing the point if you're viewing Top Gear as an objective review of cars.

Anyone who has made a comment about them being "unbiased" must be watching a different show.

I love Top Gear because it's not about cars, it's about the emotions involved with cars. They're constantly wrong about performance figures, technical information, ****, Clarkson even admits he has now real idea how cars work (not a "builder" if you're a GRM reader [nor would he read GRM]). What they tell of is the passion of driving. You can tell it when Clarkson reviews the Viper, when Hammond almost comes to tears when his "new" "Porsche" is hit by Clarkson, the way May can detail the **** out of a car, that these folks love cars.

That's why I love Top Gear.

Oh, and the hosts's dynamics with each other are incredible, and it seems an overly-imaginative 7 year old comes up with the scripts. "If you're watching this, and you're 7, this is exactly as much fun as you think it is!"
