Well I wanted a project car and after searching for months for the best car from going from RX-7's MR2's Civics etc I finally picked the nissan 240sx. The RWD and overall bad *** factor of the car is great. I get so many complements and I love toying with it. :D

Number 5 is blasphemy, the only thing ugly about them is the OEM wheels.

because i had a bmw 3 series and parts for it to be modified were pricey. i wanted to get a car that had more potential than the bmw and more mods than the bmw and less cost. hopefully the s15 mod goes on by the end of jan or mid feb. then i am doing the engine swap but todo things like that in the bmw would have been ouch pricey. i love the mod options and overall look to the vehicle with possibilities.

Was in the market for anything totally sweet. I almost bought a white anniversary edition Lotus Esprit turbo (mid 80s), but got the 240sx instead. I love it. Come to think of it, that Lotus would have pulled sooooo much *** in high school.

ummm...one day about 3 years ago my friend was showing me a car on craigslist and was talking about how they were great drift cars that handled really well and were alot of fun. After he explained drifting to me and showed me video's of it I never went back

(Having never seen the fast and the furious until about 2 months ago I had no clue what drifting was at the time)

So I sold my truck and bought one and have been in love ever since

I had wanted an S13 hatch as my first car for at least a bunch of years. Ever since seeing them on the road and also in Gran Turismo 3, that was the car I wanted. I remember the 95 or 96 180SX in GT3 with the Kouki tails and wanted that one (I think I thought it was a 240 or the game said it was a 240 or something), and eventually when I started looking I found out they didn't come like that in North America, but the Zenki tails were still pretty good.

Then some years later I started to get more serious about a car from a friend of mine getting an Integra. I knew Integras were cheap and I thought they were good cars (2nd and 3rd gen). I was looking for a 2nd gen and they were pretty cheap. After a bit I just got kinda giddy and started searching for Skylines and actually found some cheap ones. GT-S models going for like 5 or 6 K, and then I actually saw some GT-R's for 7-9 K which really got my attention. That was pretty much out of my budget but after I saw those prices for that car I just couldn't look at any other car the same again. I didn't feel the same way about the S13 as I used to, although I definitely still liked it.

So I didn't get a Skyline because it was too much. Then soon after that my bro emailed me this S14 Zenki 240 for sale and I just fell in love with it. 5-speed, good miles, awesome look to it. I never really knew that much about the S14s until around then -- I mean I knew they existed and knew about the Silvia S14s in Japan but didn't really think about it. I thought the car looked amazing and I knew it was solid. Unfortunately that 240 had been sold so I kept looking until I found mine. My 95 LE is my first car.

And btw, since then my love for the S13 has returned. I do like the S14 better but everytime I see an S13 I get all excited. I saw a pignose hatch at a used car dealer a while ago and I felt like I just had to have it. Eventually I'll get an S13, but I'm loving my S14 right now and will likely get more in the future too.

I thought I would want a Honda but everybody had one. There has been plenty of s13 and s14's I have seen starting from when I was 14, but never knew what they were. I liked the looks of the 240 more than the civics. Long before Youtube was born we all used to download street racing videos on p2p networks "Kazaa and WinMX". Those were the days. I ran into some videos originating from japan. While downloading, I wondered what Japan was doing at the time when import drag racing was popular in the states. I saw some of the most amazing home made drift video. I was hooked, never before I've seen a vehicle be pushed near limits, surpassing its intended factory engineering capabilities. Besides raw drift videos, there were lots of short video clips of jdm option "later i found out" all in Japanese audio with no subtitles. I didn't know there were Japanese performance FR cars. My horizon just expanded and I knew there was more to learn about our car culture, trend, products, tuning, its origin and lets not forget the people who are responsible for engineering and manufacturing our favorite cars. Oh yes THANK GOD FOR INITIAL D. As why I picked the 240sx, well I knew that stuffing the GTR motor in a 2500 lb chassis would equal FUN. Them supra guys would get a run for their money.

Heres the first drift video I've seen back in the day.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...lated

I have 2 reasons I got my 240sx. the first is because I blew up my Ae86 corolla with JDM Levin frontend on 4th street in ontario and needed a car more economical to drive to work than my 72 mustang. the second is my brother went from 510s to 240s and his cars always looked cool so I wanted to get something that I could make my own. luckly I found a 95 Zenki and since then I never looked back.

There are 2 reasons why I picked the 240sx. The first one is easy and i see most used it's not a civic. Number 2 is handling.

it all started w/ GT2... i dont think i cared much about cars back then and i wanted a civic coupe just to get around (i thought it was a nyse car didnt know much about them). GT2 changed everything, i still remember the day my boy came to my house while i was playing and told me to sell all my cars and buy a GT-R. so i did and i proceded to destroy the game . i know my family used to have some older datsuns and nissans here and there but i think thats where the love for nissans deepend.

Fast forward a couple years to 2001 and im chillin w/ my friend talking about needing a car and thinking about what i should get and he mentions the 240sx... hm, i says. he shows me a picture of it in a magazine (im almost possitive it was superstreet lol) after that it took little convincing before i was on the computer looking some up. shortly after i found exactly what i wanted, a black 1993 se fastback 5 speed. and then i remembered i was broke couldnt afford it and came back to reality. took me till feb 07 till i finally got into an s13 (red 1993 se fb)

i never really liked coupes till i started digging around nico and seeing some very good looking ones, then while searching the classifieds on ka-t.org i saw a blue silvia converted coupe for sale (1993 base model) and in feb 08 i drove that baby home.

cliffnotes: cuz its rwd and sexy as hell, popups and all

First off its a straight vintage car sitting in your driveway whoever has them and respect them like me but also it's Cheaper than the 300zx, More engine space to work with. More mpg. awesome acceleration, Rwd. good control. So far I like the 240sx over my 300zx riding around the town and crap but highway still love the Z.

GT2 was the biggest inspiration... That was the first car I bought in the game...

Me being 15 at the time and living in South Africa there was no way I would be able to get one. so the fantasy passed.... I bought a Honda Ballade 4 years later (got my licence at 18 - damn SA laws!) drove it for a year...

Saw a very very clean white S13 CA18DET 200sx and everything came back... I just had to have it. called the owner(whose daughter studied with me at college) made him a offer and he accepted. R40k that's roughly about $4300 at the current rate... (scary thing is these cars go for over $5000 still...)

Got the car and I've never looked back since...Busy doing a JDM S14 SR20 conversion on it....

-Awesome looking -Can take on any newer car (1.8 turbo )-awesome handling-RWD-Pop ups ftw!!oh and did I say AWESOME!!

I got my 89 cuz it was 600 bucks and cuz I had totalled my MR2, and now I like it a lot more than my MR2 especially since its boosted, but it has been a money pit.... that and i needed a sports car to offset my lifted geo tracker so i can have the best of both toy worlds :D
