its an awesome setup, and don't forget the 300ZX BMC
I Lied Todd!

I found out that the ebrake assy doesn't interfere with the hub itself or the drum setup on the rotor BUT it does interfere w/ the bearing housing, which seems odd to me. If you have more questions about this ask Bart aka Tenkawa Akito, he has tried this setup.

Awesome brakes man. Do you have any lock up with the front brakes? Ive read a lot of scuffle about how big brakes are pointlessos a 240 because youll just lock them up. Are you having any such issues? Again awesome job

the rotors scare the wheels into stopping. it has nothing to do with leverage or any of that.

it really is time to look into some other calipers. it jsut looks odd.

Fronts good enough for now, but yeah the calipers look kind os small wheel hides a bit, if i ever did more it would be the brembos of the g or z that go with them prolly need 18's tho , im more worried about the back now.

maybe not 18's. but some more clearence at least.

i think there was a theard a while back about the brembos bloting up to the stock location with a bracket.

so to run the brembo's would you have to blot both brackets to the hub or would the spl one work??

I've never had z32 rotors, so I wouldn't know the difference. I took your recommendation and got the Project Mu B-Force pads front and back. Initial bite is amazing, and I like the setup. It's still in the middle of breaking in process, so I don't know its full potential yet, but I did about 100mph on the highway, and I had no problem slowing down and accelerating again.

tramp_drift240,It's a typical z32 setup with caliper brackets to install 350z rotors. You need 17 inch wheel to make it happen. Mine is 17x8 +38, but I have 15mm Ichiba spacers, so offset is +23. Because of the spoke design, mine will clear without the spacers anyway. I'll do the full detailed write up soon. I'm going to compile everything in one thread, so it'll be all you need for z32 brake swap.

That setup looks aggressive. I love the sharp look of the iron calipers too. Very nice

Thanks. They are 30mm Aluminum, not iron. People prefer aluminum because it's lighter I guess.

Looking at them closer I can see that they are the aluminums. My bad...

BTW, I read somewhere that the iron versions have a greater heat capacity so they don't dissipate as much heat to the rotors. In extreme cases. the aluminum calipers can also warp.

you definitely need to do a write up on that janx.

you normally have to have at least a 17" wheel for brakes that size, luckily ive got my handy Cr Kais that'll be going on shortly after i swap my motor into the new(ish) coupe.

i was looking at the stuff PBM has, its like 350 or something for a pair of 13 inch rotors and brackets for 300zx calipers.

but yes, write up, ASAP. i must have larger brakes behind 18 inch Works.
