edit:

And is anyone trying to get a group buy going on this? Might be difficult since its brand new and they may not be willing to lower their price.

yes thats correct, i also doubt they will make any group deals

I think this kit could EASILY make more power than the NSPORT kit costs after you buy an intercooler. Last I checked NSPORT looked to be around $3700, and I believe one can attain an intercooler for less than $700. Bigger injectors and the e-manage put the system WAY past the point of hte NSPORT's FMU.

true, but the 370cc's are maxed at 10psi. i was hitting 10psi with the fmu in the nsport kit with my egt's not gettin any higher than 1450 degrees so that was the max there

Here's an email I sent to Enjuku Racing.

To: [email protected]Subject: Greddy 240sx kit

Is this thing going to be CARB legal? Also, what modifications arerequired to make it fit on a Pre 1995 240sx KA DOHC? (1991 - 1994)

Heres the Reply:

Right now, Greddy has not gotten CARB approval, but has plans to followthrough with getting it approved in the future. Since the kit is brandnew, we still have not received our first shipment to inspect anddiscover what might be needed to change for fitment on the S13. I dont know bout you guys, but I was kinda hoping this thing would be CARB legal now. Living in Cali it's just a risk driving with "illegal smog devices." I was counting on this kit, but who knows how long the future is(1 month - 1 year?)

You can't say the max of the stock 240 injectors with an FMU is the same as the max on 370CC injectors with a piggyback like the e-manage and a higher volume fuel pump. Just doesn't seem logical to me.

sorry i was using the stock injectors walbro 255lph pump and fmu. if u add an fmu to the 370's then u could run more jsut like with the stock injectors. there are guys on this forums sayin they are running a completely stock fuel sytem on 6-7psi. i dont know what the u could max outt he 370's at if u hooked up an fmu but i actually watched my boost gague go to 10psi and the egt's go to 1450degrees

still... i wouldnt run a FMU past 7 psi on my car (of coarse i dont have a built engine sitting around to swap in when it does blow tho) but i would feel safe having 370's and computer controlled fuel management at around 10-11psi

yea i didnt want to take it that high. but i think what the problem was the vaccuum line that goes to the wastegate was leaking. the elbow that goes into the wastegate was screwed in very far and had no kind of thread sealant on it. so im figureing boost was leakin out so the wastegate wasnt actually seeing how much there was keeppin it closed

I contacted a guy who says he can get pretty much anything I need from Greddy and this is what he quoted me:

"your price will be $2699.99 + Shipping (where are you located?) Shipping will range from $50-$75 depending on location. "

Does that sound like a good price for this kit? If so, is anyone else interested in this kit at this price??

Trust is a big part of it. I'll write the guy back and make sure that he's willing to go on record with this price. I don't know how long he's been in business or anything like that, but its certainly worth checking out.

I don't want to be a middleman in all of this so I'll make sure he's cool with me passing along his business name and price. Then you guys can decide whether everything is legit for yourselves. I'd still like to see a dyno chart and the actual pictures of the kits itself.

well if you find that he'd be willing... here's my email. i'd like to know more about him. i know enjuku is very solid company so i'd be more than willing to pay them more to ensure that i actually get the kit. [email protected]

Ok guys..here's the info. I'm passing it along to you all so do what you will. I just heard of this guy's business, but it does seem reputable.

"Go ahead and post it up.. I was going to just give you that price, but lets see how these babies move at a price this low. Make sure you inform everyone that the kit is "supposed" to be in stock at GReddy on the 25th and that they can pre-order with the same payment plan as I outlined for you. Basically you can just copy and paste the info from the original email. I guarantee you that we will get first come first serve on these kits as long as there are pre-order slots available.

I have posted the turbo kit up on our webpage http://www.city-speed.com check it out.. you can have people order directly from the site. $2769.99 shipped is the price. $70 shipping because it is VERY heavy and insurance is a lot on something this expensive. So that's $70 to anywhere in the Continental US.

Thanks man, take care,

-Eric

Cool. I'll keep that in mind. I'm checking to see if a local distributor that I go through can hook me up. If not I'll consider him. Thanks for the info.

I don't see how this guy is making money. I talked to my guy and he says he's barely making money selling the kit for significantly more than city-speed.

I think he's just selling it pretty much at cost (plus a few dollars) to get his business recognized. His business seems legit though based on the information given out on the site and the WHOIS query on register.com, but he only accepts paypal as payment.

If he accepted credit card payments (visa, mastercard), I'd be all over this deal since they offer much better protection to the buyers.

For those who are in northern California area, you might want to just stop by and do a local pickup. :ylsuper

I might just drive the 5 hours up there to pick it up when the kit becomes available.

Well I have my kit reserved. Supposedly there are only like 10 kits available for the first shipment and I'm getting one! So I'm pretty freaking excited. :)

likley with some modification to the kit, it will work. But it won't be street legal unless you put an S14 KA in and have it certified by a BAR referee. Then the CARB EO number can apply. But otherwise, it would probably be better to just get a kit made for the S13 since the kit would still not be smog legal anyways.
