Hmmm I gave my friend a CAS for his RB25 S1 from one of my Spare RB20's and it plugged right in and worked.

That would be because all the S1/2 25's and 20's and 26's share the same cas. The only ones thats different are the super late models like the Neo 25 and the R34 26. They have the plastic casing cas and different connectors. Other then that the older CAS's are all the same.

What exactly do you have omni?

I did a little searching before I even posted that up and didnt come accross anything saying that they were different. So thanxx for the clear up, but f*** YOU at the same time.......

OMNI I hope you get your car back running again.[/quote]

Must not have read my post right...... Its cool I aint mad. According to the information that was given in this thread I was right my rb20 cas will work on his s2 rb25 (if it really is a s2 and NOT a neo).

Rustspec confirmed what I said to a dagree.

I am sorry I cant tell what the neo's ( a motor I have never owned) cas looks like with its cover removed. Again I was just trying to help. There really was no need to come off like you did. A simple that looks like a neo cas, and if it is its different then the s1/2rb25 ,rb20, and pre r34 rb26's cas. I would not have said a word to a response like that. I am sorry for the name calling, but you stuck a nerve and I was allready in a bad mood when I read your response.

OMNI find out what motor you have. It will be good for you to know that type of stuff.

no worry, we all have our bad days..

omni please post a pic of u motor witht the cas onthere(make sure it has the cover)so everyopne can see what ur working with..

dont know if u remember me tellin u on ur build tread that u had a neo or later model 26 cas on there n someone may have change the cam to be able to use that cas...dont think its a neo cause ur missing a few things on there from what i saw on ur pics, wish i had a pic of my motor set when i got it 2 years ago, u see what im talking about but if u like i can take a look at my neo cas tomorrow n i let u know the wiring that way u can double check, iirc u did the wiring right? let me know..

also make sure the pic is from when u first got the motor set, before u change the intake manifold...

So if you have a Neo/R34 CAS and its a S1/2 rb25, then that could be a huge part of your problem.

RB's are used motors, they can and do have a lot of mixed parts. Apparently my RB20DET setup had a RB20DE ecu. Its a good thing I never turned up the boost at all...

Ok series 2 had 2 differant CAs the metal mitsu one that is common on rb20, 26, and rb25 series 1. the other cas is the plastic one that was on r34 neo. If you had a neo motor, it would have top feed injectors, and when you changed to greddy intake you would of noticed it requires some work, and tha the inj are top feed not side feed. the final way to confirm is that the cas has a differant key for the intake cam, if you need that cas, which is pretty rare you should look into rhdjapan.com or an importer with a blown neo, or series 2 car, or finally coolwhip but not many people will part out a motor for just the cas. OR you can try to repair the cas timing wheel with a z32 timing wheel, but i have no clue if that will work but its a cheaper solution
