Title states it all. I am seriously thinking about getting this swap. Just want to know if the rb20det can handle this kind of power daily driven with stock internals. Thanks. Also what form of tunning are you guys using for these power levels.

Come on guys. A lot of the rb20 information is scattered around. This thread could help people in the future. Lets see some numbers.

Was it hard to wire the Power FC ? Do you have any vids? How does the car feel ? Does it feel weird going from a 2.4L engine to a 2.0L engine, is the difference in torque that noticeable? Thanks for responding to my thread.

Also what size turbo do you have?

power FC is a direct plug in. Hardest part is finding one for the RB20. Plug it in, and tune it!

this is my only video at the moment

I never owned a KA24. I bought the car with a blown engine. T04E turbo

Opelok that car sounds awesome. Thanks for your help. Just did a little search on the power Fc and it looks like the rb25det model will work buy repining a couple of wires.

nissananddrftr88 I thought the 57 trim stage 2 with .63 a/r would be a good match for the rb20? What exactly is it that you don't like about it? I was actually considering that turbo.

All that was meant by that was that the link didn't work, that's a "clink"

The one i got is a Stage 2,and surges real bad above 1.5 bar.If you want a 57,then get a stage 3.I'm considering a SC5031,or 3071r or somthing equal.Only because this is my daily.

Im probaly gonna put a stage 3 57 on my drag car tho.I'll have dyno vid and track vid up in a few days.

Stupid question the rb20 has a t3 exhaust flange correct. Yeah I plan on getting a truck (for work) before the swap but the 240 will still be my daily driven vehicle.

IS a gt35 to big for the rb20det. Why does it take so long to spool or is that your typical rb20 dyno graph. How hard was it to keep a/c.

pretty much for what your trying to do.

a 2871r or 3071r would be better options for the smaller displacement unless looking for 400

the ac was not that hard. I spent about $25 on having the line that comes from behind the engine(ka) welded to the one off the compressor(rb) the other one from the compresor to the condensor is on with a clamp and has not leaked since i got it done. Then I wired it so it turns on with the ac button on the fan control buttons. Yes florida 93 oct..

Whats goin on uber how have you been.. I need to reprogram my ecu to the 550 injectors then I'm goin to take it to gainesville and test it out with the new clutch and flywheel I installed.

Lyon23-I noticed that you said your using a rom emulator??? Are you talking about the Moates Ostrich??? I was hoping that there was a program out that allows you to convert the ecu/chip to standalone.

Any more info on your rom emulator and the program used???

When do you see full boost with the GT35??? Im thinking about throwing a HX35w on my soone to be rb20 240sx.

Yes I have a Moates Ostrich emulator. I use Live edit to alter the file. I change injectors size, rev limiter, speed cut. Then I use Tuner Pro to program the emulator.

I'm using the 300zx .XDF file on the tuner pro with some tweeks that help it find the correct cells on the rb20 map. By doing this I can also use Tuner Pro to adjust fuel and timing. I see full boost at about 5500. (it might take a while to get there but once it does hold on) I've read good things about the holset turbos and you might have a better pick up with it. If you create a thread I will keep my eye on it to compare.
