Actually, he was running a 2JZ-GE, the na version. Of course, it has been turbocharged and built to the kilt. I bought some of the parts off that motor.

It's good to dream, lol. I'm 19 and I've already got a lot of stuff in place, some of you guyz are older than dinosaurs and yours still rambling about stuff. Experience and knowledge works, but without dreams and creativity . . you guys aint going to get far, you'll just end up like another sr powered 240 owner running 14's at best.

Dont hate me for having a dream!!

Goshoryuken, just because you have a plan or dream doesnt mean anything, at 19 you should be prepared for the real world. Iam sorry your post pisses me off, it stupid and pointless, Iam sure the older people here would know more about dreams, creativity and plans then you ever would at your age. You will realize, having a plan doesnt mean jack ****, you must have a plan for plan, prepare for the worst, keep all variables into account. Just a side note, talking about this and that you will most likely end up being stuck stock. And the guys older then dinosaurs have probley done what they already wanted too and decided on reaching new goals, something else it seems like u need to learn, finish one goal, set and achieve another.

Listen stupid, never . .ever... ever.. judge a book by it's cover. I'm 19, that doesn't mean I dont know more than you about life cars or anything else. I left my house when I was 18 because of an abusive older brother who had mental problems. I found myself a job, I worked hard to get where I am, and I'll be damned if someone sitting at home on their old *** is going to flame me for being young and having a goal . . a dreamm .. that I know I can achieve. I have my own co-op in queens, new york, I work as an accountant in long island, new york. I go to college full time, I work 35 hours a week, I make good money. I have two cars, I'm attending college to be a dentist, soon transferring to nyu for dental school. My gpa is above 3.5 and I have over 90 credits. I do volunteer work at new york hospital and will soon do my residency, so yeah . . I know how to plan for my life, and my car is something I take very very very very very very seriously. I have money saved up for a lot of things. You dont know me, dont judge me, I wasn't the one to flame on someone for wanting an rb powered 240sx . . it was you guys. so piss off before you catch a cramp in your wrinkled scrotum.

No offense really, but it does get old listening to people talk about what they are "going" to do. I dont like reading about peoples GRAND plans to do things like RB26 swaps until they have the money the engine and a date to start planned. The RB26 swap is so complicated its almost silly to do when you could reach the same power levels with another motor that drops in considerably easier. Theres too many people full of **** to take everyone seriously I hope you understand that and why noone likes reading that stuff.

I understand there's a lot of people that get sick and tired of reading lots of different things on the board from lots of different people. I just can't stand when someone tries to flame me or judge me. If they have a bad opinion about someone . .they should keep it to themselves.

Stupid, eh?!? Take your own advice and dont judge a book by its cover. Old ***, again take your advice, you dont know me!!! Iam 19 btw, same age as you, so........... Thats good you left your house and are living independent, and have a stable job and have set goals, for you future. I have goals and whatever like everybody else, I work full time and do computer work on the side(as we speak). You think you know how to plan your life, but I was just giving words of caution I have already learned, to have a successful plan you have to have backup plans and account every variable, you can say you will do such and such, later on something happens and you get off track, it happens.

You take your car seriously?! So do I. I havent flamed on anyone for wanting anything, more power, you just seem to brag and try to tell people you must be creative, yada yada yada. Some people have bad luck, others dont, you might reach your goals, doesnt mean your better. Thats the way you seemed to be when I read your first post, like your better, and I thats what I had a problem with, cause I first hand have had goals, and then sometimes the real world decides to show its power and trys to pull me down. Dont count your chickens before they hatch. And dont Judge me when you dont even know my age.

I dont mind hearing what people have for goals, I like hearing peoples "realistic" goals. Just when someone brags about theres and makes it sound like they are better then others, I dont like that, u bleed red, so does the next human.

Back on topic kidz....

Personally...and I mean no offense to anyone(Aries) but the fastest 240 record should be owned by someone using a Nissan motor. Not a Ford/Chevy/Nissan mix. There's no doubt that a small block with boost can be stupid fast. I don't even think there's a class for such a beast.

To be honest, time slips dont prove anything. The ones we get from IRP dont have any car related information on them. If I run against a Z06, I can claim that as my speed or something.

oh, i just thought of something good:) ...how bout when people put a skyline engine in their 240 and then put a gtr emblem on it, or put a sr20 motor in it and put silvia on it, i always hear people on this forum say that your cars not a silvia/skyline , just b/c you have a silvia/skyline engine yada yada ..theres a perfect example in another thread about someone lookin to buy some silvia emblems....

Quote »Your car is not a silvia, nor a 180. Not matter what you do to it, it never will be. If you strip your car down to just the unibody, and have every possible part shipped from a japanese dealership, you will still have a CONVERTED 240sx. Not a silvia. Not a 180sx. [/quote]

there we go(quoted from Cyberkrieg), you see, its a 240 no matter what engine is in it....dont take this wrong im not tryin to flame , this is IMO, b/c you had a good point

Trust me, I know about plans gone bad. I bought my car and ever since it's been in the shop. I keep everything in mind when I do something. When I bought the car from this prick on ebay . .I knew it wasn't going to work, but I didn't need it to. Now everything is being fixed and worked on and it will soon be able to be driven like a normal daily driver, then I'll upgrade a few things that I prefer just for my own comfort, like power doors, windows, etc. Then maybe the seats. I have money saved up for all this and the rb. If I run out, I'll be screwed, so I'm keeping that in mind too. I'm not saying I'm better than anybody. I'm saying that some day . .I will have a really really fast car that could be faster than everybody elses. Is that a crime? No, then chill out. Aries has an insanely fast car and I respect that.

I totally agree, i love aries car and think it is crazy fast. NO matter what engine is in there it took alot of wrenching to get it to go like it does. The man hours and idea behind it prove its quality, i just agree with both sides

IIRC osofasts car is using a RB26 now.... so i guess he would have the fastest 240 using a nissan engine!
