Mine's in my sig. Not quick by any means, but not bad considering the original driveline, 152k miles and minimal mods.

Well, the Q's around here will take the hp crown at 278, but we also weigh the most. Most of the Q's here are running in the high to mid 15's.

I believe PSI240SX holds the crown in the 240 camp with his turboed KA pushing391.1RWHP + 403.5RWTQ and running a 1/4 12.574@ 118.21 on street tires

WOW - Scar-eeeeee!

Bet that thing is fun. Is it set up for 1/4 mile only or is it road course-ready?

He should be better off in the 1/4 than a mid 12. I'm totally N/A with just a few bolt-ons and I can run low 15's all day. I would think the fact that he has nearly DOUBLE my HP he might do a tad better.

Yes, exactly. Look at the trap speed as a horsepower indicator and not so much the ET. Like Red said, slicks=11's, easy.

Ahhhh...

sorry fellahs... my mistake, didn't see the street tire thing. But I knew 12's sounded pretty weak for that kind of HP. thanks for pointing that out!

Well my Q has the real early type engine (first 18 months production) so I expect to be closer to 290hp stock, but I was told by our Gurus I should have about 317hp with JWT chip.If my engine is in perfect condition that is.

My Q dynoed at 238 hp (before a much needed TB cleaning). That would give me almost exactly 300 hp at the crank with a dirty TB.

Since it is much cleaner now, I expect more power now.

Most say a substantial power loss results from a dirty TB so the 317hp number at the crank sounds reasonable if not conservative.

How ever due to my auto transmission and 4000lbs weight car I wont post great 1/4 mile numbers.

The 1/4 mile number for early Q's (90,91 are 15.1 silghty more for 92,93)94/95's and are in the mid 15's , 97's to 01's hi 15's.

With the ECU and a decent runnign engine I hope to break into the 14 w/o too much difficulty come our NICO run on the 16th of Novemebr.

Hopefully it won't be too cold for my tires to hook up well.

Fred...:)

Well, not really. The new supercharged rustange cobra has 390 hp and 390 pounds of torque and runs high 12's, so it's pretty close to right. It should be a few tenths faster then the cobra.

when new i should have been able to do a quarter in 12.72 @ 103.34 mph. it has about 80 hp, 600 pounds wet, minus rider. it's shaft drive, too. oh wait, this is about cars, isn't it? i did a smoky burnout a couple of days ago, too. i think it makes the oil leak worse when i hit 12000 rpm though.

Ken from Enjuku is running 12.3 @126mph (insanity)

My car ran a best of 16.02 @ 88mph the last time I took it to the track.... but that was a 'few' mods ago. Someday when I'm all done with it I'll see what she runs for real. But for now it's fun to be able to show Cobra's a 16sec timeslip and then challenge them..... well I'm sure you can guess the rest :)

Damn, Ken needs some drag radials in a bad way! What does he drive?

Well the Spec V has 175hp-the Altima has 245hp-both are pretty much stock.I had to put a muffler on the Spec V though no CAI yet hoping to get an extra 5hp wwith the 2. The Vette after the re-build and a few performance parts should be about 310 to 315hp.:)

Well, I got 440hp to the wheels, so about 500 at the crank. Oh yeah, 401 tq to the wheels too.

Car runs 11's all day. Traps around 120 on drag radials in good weather.

:D :dunce

psi240sx's 12.5 run was not on 391 hp with 403 ft/lbs of torquethe 391 hp at the wheels was sometime after he did that drag run. he sold his turbo and made a few changes. still has factory cams in there. he would run 11's with the modifications hes made. He has yet to run it though.

I agree the question was not specific, and I did want to see what everyone was driving, so I'd know how far I had to go once I got my hands on a project, so what is FRY driving? And yes, Ninja, I do realize that a bike will, on most occasions, wipe the asphalt with a car and I am looking into the proverbial(although I doubt there are really any proverbs concerning motorcycles, but there could be..) "crotch rocket" because, after all, apply the greatest amount of power to the least amount of mass, and invariably you'll go fast, it's one of those laws of physics that our universe seems to have to abide by.

how many 240 owners are setting up their rides for a drag car? I'm not, just curious. Me stock, never did a 1/4 mile run, so I have no input.

but once my car is tuned nicely, its mullet mobiles like fryrices that I'll be aiming for. One day........
