palmerwmd wrote:Well my Q has the real early type engine (first 18 months production) so I expect to be closer to 290hp stock, but I was told by our Gurus I should have about 317hp with JWT chip.If my engine is in perfect condition that is.
My Q dynoed at 238 hp (before a much needed TB cleaning). That would give me almost exactly 300 hp at the crank with a dirty TB.
Since it is much cleaner now, I expect more power now.
Most say a substantial power loss results from a dirty TB so the 317hp number at the crank sounds reasonable if not conservative.
How ever due to my auto transmission and 4000lbs weight car I wont post great 1/4 mile numbers.
The 1/4 mile number for early Q's (90,91 are 15.1 silghty more for 92,93)94/95's and are in the mid 15's , 97's to 01's hi 15's.
With the ECU and a decent runnign engine I hope to break into the 14 w/o too much difficulty come our NICO run on the 16th of Novemebr.
Hopefully it won't be too cold for my tires to hook up well.

me too actualy i don't like the 1/4 mile im more of a gt driver i don't now the...whole point of going down a straight line for like 12-11 sec. doesn't quite do it for me i need a greater edges14=pimpin' wrote:how many 240 owners are setting up their rides for a drag car? I'm not, just curious. Me stock, never did a 1/4 mile run, so I have no input.
