We've had a lot of new members in the past couple of months so I thought I'd bring this thread back. My 90Q qualifies as the newest 90 and there's a new contender for oldest 91 added to the list.

CarFrk666 is hanging in there with the oldest Q with #000735 but there's a lot of you out there lurking. Post up your VIN and manufacture date if you have the newest or oldest for any model year.

Ok, so here's a question... My Q45 doesn't have a build date stamp anywhere...Not to mention it's MEANT to be a 1989 model but it's equipped with full active suspension. My Vin is 6U90000HG50000889. If it is a 1989 model then mine must be the earliest active Q45 on here?Where do I find (If there is one) a date of manufacture stamp?

The first for sale to public Q were built in summer 1989 as 1990 MODELS and I believe they all had a Sept 1989 [launch date*] door build date. *Infiniti sales officially started in November 8, 1989 in North America.

By beginning of Jan 1990 they had produced ~~ 7,800 units. I have #8049 made in last days of Jan 90.

A good rule of thumb is to always wait 6 months on any new production model.

On the USDM Q45 there's a sticker on the driver front door jamb....not sure about JDM though. Also look for the metal placard on the engine compartment firewall with your paint and trim codes.

The first post of this thread shows the oldest and newest NICO Q's by model year (MY). From the input we've gotten so far your Q is somewhere near the middle of the 1990 MY production. We're still looking for a 90Q with a VIN lower than 000735.

Every one of the 90Q's mentioned in both threads falls between the oldest and newest 90Q's in our list. I own Ardvarkas' Q now and Heath looks to be our current "active" NICO member with the oldest Q.

I'm ready to update the list if any Q owner has the oldest or newest of any model year.
