I did read the whole thread, and while you are correct you didnt say you wanted to "copy him", it just came across that way. I am pretty easy going, I think you should be able to do what you want to with your car. But, that doesnt mean everyone else has to like it.

I wasnt trying to offend you or anything. I was just trying to tell you what your posts made me think. In other words, you initially came across as a person interested only in copying him. That was my impression... thats all im saying

Now that youve given us a little more detail, its more ovbious that you aren't just straight up copying.

I have no problem with what you are trying to do. All I hope is that you have some love for the 240 before you spend money on it. Because, while you can change the look, its still a 240.

One last thing, there are a crapload of people on this forum, many of them have bits and pieces of everything posted on the internet, and would be happy to help you out if you have a specific question, like "what are those wheels and what is the offset?", or "what is that body kit and who sells it the cheapest?"

Happy posting, good luck in your search for answers!!

Man, you guys are making this moderator thing a full-time job! Stop with the dung-tossing, please.

Here is the link for Simmons wheels, which I highly endorse: http://www.groupawheels.com/prod02.htm

For bodykits, see the sticky in the 240 General forum.

Steph, if u wanna sell your car sell it. My $.02 tho, is keep it! That car rocks! I love that car and would buy it if i could. I remember the blue paint scheme from way back when u posted pics of it. Your car was the reason I really started to like the S14 body style. :)

WongFeiHung ain't an idiot, he was the shizznit in The Last Hero of China! I dont know about the Jackie Chan version though...

StephNic your a dumbass. If you don't appreciate your car, then go **** yourself cause you dont deserve it. You need to go eat a ****, preferably the guy you like to copy so much.

Quoteid like to talk to this guy and ask him about where he got his kit, what he paid, how long the wait was. all sorts of **** like that, including where he got his wheels, etc. This car inspires me to not move on, and I'd seriously like to talk to him. I've been trying to find info on him, but havent gotten anywhere. If anyone knows this guy, let me know. If you know his aim or something, let me know, or give him mine (stephnic240) or my email ([email protected]) etc. Thanks to anyone who can help out. Feel free to reply even if you dont know, just to point out how simply bad *** his car looks, cuz I'm with ya.

Omfg- Hey man! Lets talk, lemme bring out my teaset and we'll talk about your body kit and rims and wutda**** is up witchu!

By the way, I've gotta back up StephNic here. Let me explain why:

Every ONE of you has copied a mod from someone else (unless you're the first person to mod a 240:rolleyes). It's called learning from others' experiences.

Us Q45 guys HAVE to do it that way - One guy tried a set of four rear rims from a 300ZXtt... They fit perfectly, and would carry 255/50/16 tires... So guess what? That became the preferred rim/tire size for that car. A couple of us wanted a FSTB... no one made one for the Q, so guess what? We modified one from another vehicle - Now several Q owners have done the same, and their cars are better for it. I can't count the number of 1st-gen Q's with 97-01 16" rims like mine (I wasn't the first) but several guys have asked me where I got them, and they've bought the same rims... I have no problem with it.

Quit thinking everything you do is so terribly unique, and dedicate the effort to helping others with their cars.

I'm not tryin to be a ***** here but i've never seen someone try to copy someone in every aspect. Sure people copy but they don't copy completely. Most people always end up with their own style... Unique... Theirs...You should appreciate your car for what it is and not what its not.If we all copy exactly, no cars will be unique. It will be just like stock.

You know d***. A race between two 240's? Spare me the excitement.:rolleyes

I'm certain your 240 looks like all the other 240's running around. Very few stand out, that's the nature of the beast. Unless you've invented your own mods, it's all been done before.

Anyway, your name-calling has caught up with you and you're being called out. You're a punk a$$, you were warned once, and your vacation starts today. I'll consider reinstating your posting privileges in a week. Or not. We'll see.

just for the record (im not going to say **** and drop to his level), i have wanted the c-west kit for a WHILE now. Well before I saw it on this guys car. I've also wanted a spoiler (not a wing) that was tasteful. Then, to top it off, he has 9 wides in the front and 10 wides in the rear, JUST like I wanted. Damn, I'm still not done either. He even has Recaro SRDs in his car (exactly what I want, except his are black and i want these special ones that are limited production and are black/grey suede). I also wanted to have my car painted from black, to either gunmetal grey with a blue pearl (havent seen that done yet) or a thick white, like the stock white, which he has. When I saw pics of this guys car, it was EXACTLY like I was wanting mine to be. THAT is why I wanted to talk to the guy, cuz we obviously share (very good) taste in modifications. When you plan out something unique for yourself that is perfect in your aspect, then you stumble upon someone who obviously has the EXACT same taste, it amazes you. I'm sure anyone in my position would want to talk to their car modding twin too. It's not every day you see **** thats almost an EXACT copy of what you want.

Collector - Don't pay too much attention to THAT quote - I know J-Spec, and he's a solid guy. I hope you gathered that he was trying to be humorous.

StephNic - Everyone knew what you meant - No need to defend yourself. Besides, the schoolyard bully got "knockedthefukout". :D

LOL - Gotcha. I think I might have gone a round or two with him once as well. I can't recall.

I've thrown down with so many people here it's hard to remember them all. Kind of like all the skanks I boinked in college... :D

They're usually just n00bs who need a good smack, then they settle in and become good, productive members of NICO. :D

Nope - We haven't. We were buds from day one (same with maineimport).

You're probably right on point #2 as well - I pride myself on having never swapped fluids with an ugly woman (Tino's mama notwithstanding). :D

Dunno if the infos still relevant but here goes. That car was owned by my friend Rich. Unfortunately he sold the damn thing a couple of months ago for something better *atleast according to him* brand spanking new S2k. Anyways, Its a auto with full C-west body kit. Rims are made by a Australian company called *Simmons* 18x9s in the front and 18x10s in the rear with 5mm spacers to flush the rims to the kit. 300zx front brake coversion, Sparco seats, Momo steering wheel *cant remember which one* When he sold it, it had the JDM K's wing on it. I was lucky enuff to snag his carbon hood and bomex wing b4 he got rid of it.

It was a sweet looking S14 IMO. It had some things I was interested in, on doing for my future S14(tho I'm still deciding all the exterior parts, and what I'm going to do)

Too bad he made the switch. Looked like he had a good thing going. :D

Yah it was a great car...only down side was the ****-o-matic. When he decided to sell it, his bills were piling up. LoL, dats what happens when you go on vacation back to Philippines for 2 months and spend your SR20 swap money. :icesangel Those were his plans b4 he took off...S13 and transmission swap.

2 months on vacation overseas... Or SR20DET swap.... Hmmmm

SR20DET swap :ylsuper

EDIT: and this coming from a guy who wants to go RB25. :)

Vacations are over-rated when you're gone that long.

Boredom
