Any guess as to the TQ rating? How do you like it?

No clue, I was fortunate that it came with my swap, a lot meat left on it. It was a pain in the *** to find out what it was thankfull the part number on the pressure plate and disc confirmed a nismo clutch. I believe it was rated at 300 TQ.

I like it very streetable not like some of those 3 puck clutches.

Had a Competition Clutch Ironman Stage 3/4 on my KA that I will be using on my CA. 4 puck metallic single plate, supposed to be rated for 400ft/lbs yet it was extremely streetable and the clutch stiffness only increased slightly.

Ive got a Kayaba 3 puck copper/brass sprung clutch disc and a NISMO pressure plate. I have no idea as to its exact specs, but It does have "550" stamped on it. Its quite a workout on the left foot, and it has never once slipped. It is a CA18DET specific clutch, very similar (almost identical) to the cusco copper unit.

I'm using the Spec stage 3 sprung 6 puck. The engagement is super easy! The pedal feel is stock light. I put about a 1000 miles on it in my s13 before I took the car off the road a few weeks ago for a rebuild

O.S. Giken b-type twin plate with sprung disks. Very firm pedal but completely streetable when you get used to the friction zone.

I had this EXACT same problems. What kind of step are you running on the flywheel?

I use an exedy/daikin heavy duty organic on CA18 flywheel. In an 1800pd datsun 1200 Sedan.

The tyres slip long before the clutch will.

In an S13,14,15, I'd go for a cushioned button clutch.

If I were born rich and stupid, I'd use a double/triple plate Japanese clutch :-)

flywheel wasnt skimmed, it didnt need it.

what I should have done to help with break in was use a ball hone arrangment on the end of a drill to break any glaze that was present, however minimal.

Yeah, and you have the post count to prove it. I'm just really bored and not even general chat can keep up with my boredom. Ive got about an hour to kill before I head to my local car club meeting and try and remind myself why I never go.

I am using an Exedy Heavy Duty sports clutch kit on a lightened flywheel for CA18DE. Works pretty well, very soft though, im thinking of getting a stronger pressure plate. Or removing some of my leg muscles
