Keichii Tsuchiya. Master driver from the race circuit in Japan. He has designed various suspension and performance products (Kei Office) in addition to being a professional driver.

Ayrton Senna hands down. Statistically he's not the greatest, but he was driving with pure passion. Just because Schumacher has the most wins doesn't mean anything. He has no competition, Senna competed with the legends of F1, Piquet, Prost, Lauda, Mansell, etc., he was the king on wet tracks and still holds the most pole positions.

To me Senna is the king, Jim Clark is a close second.

Keichii Tsuchiya, most definitely. He's one hilarious guy and he's an awesome awesome driver and has designed so many great things.

For all time legend, I say Mario Andretti as well, but as for up and coming driver, I'm with Juan Pablo Montoya. Schumacher may win races but I don't like his driving style, he's a little too aggressive. Same goes for Dale Earnhart (sp?) I didn't like his style, "Do anything at all costs to win"

Mario Andretti probably the best of all time IMHO. He's won championships in every type of car. He's retired and can still qualify on any grid. An amazing talent.

MSchumaker is probably the best right now. Other drivers deserving consideration: Senna (though his career was cut short), Fangio, (of course) AJFoyt, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark (who like Senna, also died too soon)

Schumacher, Prost, Senna, Andretti, Dave Bell, Makinen...and the list goes on, but i sure like Schumacher...he wins ALL the time. except for this season in F1, it's a good competitive season.

Yeah, Mackinen's the sh*t. i'm liking Peter Cunningham for speed touring on speedvision, ever since he started driving the Nissan spec v. D1 though, I like Koguchi. His ****'s so smooth! I haven't seen too many other people though. Oh, can't forget NOB, damn! I've seen him lose though, an old option 2 video that I have. JGTC, I like the Castrol Tom's supra, the R34 (forget which company) and of course, the Daishin Silvia. ooohhhh, **** yeah!

Tommi Makinen and Marcus Gronholm. I like what I'm seeing in Petter Solberg, alot of potential for the future. Of course Shumacher, and I like Montoya too. There are alot of good drivers in many different series, too many to list.

I've only been really into racing for a few years, so I don't know much about the greatest in history. Ever since I started getting Speedvision my love of motorsports has grown quickly. Too bad it turned into NASCAR TV.

I think Gronholm is definitely going to be one of the all time greats when he's done racing. He's looked damn near unstoppable when his car didn't crap out.

I'd add Markko Martin to the list of possible "greats" in the making.

On a side note, I believe Rally Deutschland is next week, with coverage on the Speed Channel.

Yeah, it got to the point that when I would watch a rally, I would pretty much accept that a Gronholm win was a given. He is so incredibly calm and smooth, plus he never blinks. :D Markko Martin has good potential, but I think he'd do much better if he wasn't in a Ford. Sebastian Loeb is also a young driver full of promise.

Yoshinori Koguchi. D1 competitor and badass drifter extraordinaire. He drives the Falken 180sx, it's red now, it used to be green.

Man, the 240 is like Japan and most of the world's favorite drift car (arguably) and here we are on it's forum and we don't even know who are hero's are...

(:D j/k, if it were up to me, JGTC and D1 would be on speedvision!)
