I am pretty much scraping in a lot of places, for those who plan on getting coilovers and want to go as low as me will pretty much scrape all over the place.

So far these are the places that I pretty much scrape when I hit some type of bump or very bumpy road:

- Metal plates in front of car (its like the second lowest point of the car)- Exhaust support bar (in center), its all bent up- Exhaust flange (its the lowest part of the car for me) it is the pipe that connects the muffler to the pipe that connects to the cat. converter. the bottom flange is pretty much flat!- one of my exhaust tip....it is not bad though

I am probably scraping in a few other areas that I am probably not aware of lol.

So how many of you guys with lowered rides scrape and how much do you scrape?

That was what worried me the most about getting the coilovers, I'm transferring to school in San Antonio next semester too and SA is filled with hills so it would be even worse than here in Houston, glad I got the Eibachs and hopefully I'm not scraping too much next semester with those

i'm on stock springs right now and the places i scrape are this 1 speed bump at my school... its the only one i scrape on no matter how slow i go and everyone scrapes on it too (i think its my cut-out scraping) and the other place i scrape is every morning/night i pull in or out of my driveway lol

my dad is currently suing the ppl who made our house because not only did they NOT build it to the plan, but it doesnt even follow the city code for the amount of slope you can have

I scrape on my driveway too, but only if I go up forwards. If I tackle it backwards I'm fine. I'm not lowered either just have the Stillen Fascia

nice Sedan bruh!!!

I scrape on speed bumps and inclines.... front splitter is IMPOSSIBLE when it comes to inclines.... but i would rather lose a bumper scraping than drive around on the stock springs... I used to get nosebleeds i was riding so high in the air..

The front splitter is a PITA to deal with even on gentle grades...if I didn't have the turnbuckles on there I'm pretty sure I would've lost it a while ago. Even with that current problem, I'm still considering coilovers in the future... *sigh*

Yea, I am debating on if I should get the splitters lol. I like the looks of it but I am afraid it will pretty much crack on me.

The worst is incline for me, I mean I had to park underground to go to this store once and man the car behind me reverse and didn't even bother lol.

Sometime when I hit small bumps/dip on the road my exhaust flange would hit the road and people would look at me. I think I might just go to an exhaust shop and get that flange cut off and just have them weld the pipe together.

Forgot to mention, if you go low with a low offset like me (+15 rear) and have passengers hope those fenders are roll nicely or your tires will get eat up since my passenger rear has taken some beating....

The splitter is made out of their urethane so good luck cracking it. These urethane fascias have taken a beating time and time again by members and they hold up wonderfully

You won't really have a problem with scraping in San Antonio. I mean there are hills but they don't cause you to scrape. I went there last semester and will be going there next semester as well. I scrape a TON more here in Austin then in San Antonio, but then again that's a given considering the roads.. If you have eibachs you'll be fine, but you still have to be careful with the speedbumps around on campus housing.. those are terrible...

Yeah I went there for a semester, I actually really like it there. That's why I'm transferring back from UT to UTSA. That and academically that's the smarter decision for me personally. If you go to UTSA, be sure to join UTSA FSA! Biggest student organizations at UTSA and in San Antonio if not one of the biggest! Haha, a lot of cool people there too. But yeah, you should definitely go, if you go live off campus!

Haha everything! They volunteer, hang out, have fun and you get to know San Antonio really quick. Well I personally never stayed there but know plenty of people who do and they regret it, I guess it really depends on where you choose to live. It's cheaper to live off campus then on campus and the commute isn't really that bad. 5 minutes if anything. Where did you choose to live on your housing app?

yeah, the Stillen Urethane Splitter is the strongest aftermarket body kit/component I have ever instlled... i have dead on ran into curbs before at a decent MPH, and I get out of my car like, da*n, i just phucked up mu splitter....

but its still attached, still going strong.... just a few scratches underneath from where I've gone up on curbs, and its a little crooked due to the massive beatings i've given it on accident, but its still there.. has this been a fiberglass part... GOODNIGHT!!!!

I signed up for Chaparall village and Chisholm hall but i'm not 100% sure which one I got picked for, shoot me an email that's in my profile one of these days, I'm eager to see what you have to say about UTSA

does the splitter only come in black? As soon as I get these damn eibachs on I want my next item to be a lip or maybe even the splitter since it sounds like it holds up pretty well

As far as I know, nobody on NICO has done this. Outside of the forums...no idea. I'd thought about that for a while at first, but I prefer splitters to contrast the body colour.
