Wow, that Lexus thing is super cool.

I saw an original Toyota Corona Sedan (either early 70's or late '60s) on ebay awhile back that had about 500,000 miles on it. It was positively mint, it looked like a museum piece, and they said it was in original, unrestored condition, original california owner.

I've got a co-worker here at my office with a '96 325i that has close to 300k on it, it looks brand new aside from some ever-so-slight spidering in the front leather seats.

I know right! It's a conforting feeling when you can relax as the odometer sits at over 150k.

My 93 has 214,760 and has been my best car. I like better than all my other great cars: 91Q, 96 993 cab, and 96 Cobra stang.

I love these cars, just bought a 94 with 122K--the interior is cherry! The paint is so so. It drives great!

I agree, my wife thought I was crazy for buying a "new" car (97 Q45) with 194,000 miles-until she rode in it!

Exactly. As you know, I sell cars (or atleast try to ) We deal with mostly high line imports like MB, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti and even the toyotas, hondas, acuras. The problem is, I am in a very Die hard american car, union supporting, blue collar area. It is so hard to convince these people that a 99 lexus with 90k (for example) is not on it's death bed. These people are used to american cars.

Then I get the people that say "if it breaks it's going to be so expensive to fix" My response is "if it breaks"

All I have to say is american cars suck!!

I even hate my GTX at this point.

here is our inventory so you can take a peek. Im not trying to advertise, I just want you to see what i do. let me know if you want it deleted.

When looking at new luxury cars, a lot of folks lease, and the dependability issue doesnt really matter as much. That at least keeps Audi and MB in the US market, despite poor dependability.

When buying used, its hard to argue against Japan.

Is it just me, or is $85,900 a little high for an Altima, even an SE? - Pat

I wouldn't go that far...check out the Acura TL boards at AcuraZine...nothing but complaints about the cars and dealer service.

I only have 118,000 on mine. My sister in law has racked up 280,000 on her J30 and that is with hardly any regular maintenance to speak of, and its still a tight car.

There is a local hotshot driver here who had a 94 Dodge 3500 Diesel that had 1,100,000 miles on the original engine. They had it at the local Dodge dealer on display when he finally traded it in. I hope my diesel goes that long...
