after the car sat for half a year in the winter and then i drove a bit this summer, the mistakes i made with my prep worked showed..paint started to chip around the windows and door handles and places of that nature..a novice mistake..

i think i may go with black but will check my body work before doing so..i know i can prep it good this year as there is no rush like last year (my grad party), but i just dont want people do be able to see little bumps and dips from my serious bondo job..

plus, i dont want red basically because my bro, mom, and g/f all have red cars lol can't be to like everyone else can I?

wow this is old lol..

basically this is the bodywork i had to go through..i probably should have used a body puller and such to fix it, but a hammer, some TLC, and LOTS of bondo did the job and its not coming off or chipping or anything..

btw, i decided to stay red. Too much work painting the door jams and things of that nature for me lol i really hate body work. So keeping it red..could i just clean it, sand it, clean it, and then spray red right over this, or should i primer again? I'm getting patchwork body work done over the winter but nothing major (getting stock spoiler holes welded closed)

If you're spraying red over red, no need to prime. Just concentrate on good prep work.

Also, there is no way you'll need a gallon.

If you're looking at a single stage paint job to look good, then reduce the paint a tiny bit more than suggested and add a little more hardner. when it's done curing, wet sand - cut- polish. It should come out pretty!
