I'm just wondering who out there has an oil cooler on their SR. I'm planning to put one on mine, but I thought I would see if anyone can give me suggestions...what cooler they used, what size, locations to mount it, etc...

I'm considering mounting one right behind the bumper opening on the passenger side (opposite of where the factory side mount intercooler was placed by Nissan). I figure that is a good spot since the factory put the intercooler there, but on the passenger side it will be closer to the original oil filter location.

Any comments/suggestions and especially photos would be appreciated!!!

i used the oil cooler out of an RX7 because its freaking huge and has a thermostat built into it.

I have it mounted on the upper side peaking out from behind my intercooler.

I got my oil cooler setup off of ebay. It came with a Billet Aluminum Adapter and Remote, lines and fittings. Cost around $300. Its bolted up in the passenger fender-well. I considered slapping it on in between the Radiator and Greddy Intercooler but I thought I would get a steady flow of air. I also wrapped it in Aluminum Wire Mesh so it wouldn't get damaged. So far its worked great.

Im running a Mocal thermostatic sandwhich plate with -10 lines and Aeromotive fittings running to a Setrab cooler.

I picked up the idea from Dave Coleman's Project Silvia, in an old issue of Sport Compact Car.

I got everything for under $300. I bought the sandwich plate off the net, and the rest came from the local muscle car shop.
