Anyone doing a bare bones el-cheapo build up with used parts?

I am actually wanting to plan on having mine boosted by the end of winter. I am not doing a full build on this motor, I am just going to get some used parts and just get it going, then I will work on building another motor.

Top part is what I have already. In addition to that, I have to do a timing chaing job, motor mounts, and if possible, have valve seals done.

I have a project that I have been working on for a little over a year (91 ka24de)...Never even drove the thing, I bought it with a rebuilt engine with only about 10,000 miles on it, but the body was not very good... These are all the parts I have on or that I have and are going on soon... should be done in a month or two..

here's how mine sits at the moment..



i'm selling the revhard, if anyone is interested.. i'll be using a iap manifold, with a super 60, full 3" exhaust, fmic, 400cc injectors.. it's a little setup my friend and I came up with for the winter.. after this i'm going with a GT35, fully built KA (90% done) and such...

neoamd is your SC61 a .63a/r or .82a/r stage III or V, I only ask because I've seen your track results and was impressed with your traps, we basically have the exact same setup except my turbo is a Garrett t3/61 which is basically the same thing as your Precision.

Maverick, It was only a question, all the parts...well most I suppose...that I have are brand new. Like the Pauter rods and Ross pistons..did you want those?

Also, I wanted everyone to start a new thread talking about there on going projects. So we can add some life to KAT. Posting in this thread makes it hard to ask/answer questions.
