Someone explain to me what the need for breadends are? I don't eat them. Do you eat them? If so, why? I don't get it. They aren't tasty like the bread-middles (is that the correct term?), nor can they be yummy. They are to keep you from seeing the yummy fluff in the middle of the bread, and do nothing else. They are like c***-blockers. They are like so many other analogies that I could come up with. But, it all comes down to, do you eat the bread ends?

On a regular loaf of bread I'm guessing right? If so, then no. But if your talking bout something like...french bread then I love the crunchy ends.

Bread ends are like bras, they just keep you from getting to the squishy stuff.

I don't normally eat then, unless thats all thats left from the loaf. In that case, bread end sandwich/garlic toast.

I think they make good toast, but other than that they are the last to go at my house.

I eat them first, the crust is what gives the bread its flavor and makes it firm and fun to eat. the ends have the most crust.the ends have the most flavor, are firm, and are fun to eat. I wish they sold loaves of ends.

They make excellent toast, especially when you add peanut butter.

Yeah, yummy, but, Fred, I would strongly say NO to your eating any more creamcheese! When you get to be my age, you will better appreciate this advice from me. It is among the worst sources of chloresterol and this simply ain't good for you.

I wish I had had somebody telling me when I was younger what to do to be healthy when I was older! The problem, when we are young, is that we think we are invincible. Reality sets in too late.

An, oh, by the way, I eat the bread ends because they taste better (in most cases) than the bland bread inside. My wife does not eat them, so we never fight over them!

There's where you're WRONG, Sircnay.

REAL men eat anything. And we don't whine about it.

Ohh I love the bread ends, they make tuna fish sandwhiches way more enjoyable. They also make better toast then the inner slices.

Bread ends on like italian/french/etc bread is the shiat. It's just so amazing and so much better than the rest of the bread.

And muffin tops are the first to be eaten, cause I love them.

I havent had actual sliced bread in a long time. The usual at our house is french bread, where the ends are basically stubby chunks of crust, so thats what I had in mind throughout this thread. We usually cut meaty pieces of bread and put them on a baking pan, top them with a thick slice of brie, and stick them in the oven.
