If your planning on getting rid of it....why do you need the belt size

Just go to a parts store and tell em you need the P/S belt, it's all done by numbers in the computer. You don't go there saying you need a 8 inch belt (8in. for the sake of argument).

I wouldn't recommend getting rid of P/S unless you want hercules arms.

Because the belt not only drives the P/S but the waterpump as well IIRC. I left the pump w/the pulley attached and just disconnected the hoses/lines on my old DOHC. Luckily the SOHC is different and you can just toss it altogether

No.The p/s belt runs to the crank pulley, the alternator and waterpump run on the same belt.

I wouldn't recommend getting rid of the p/s either. i have been driving w/o it for a long time and it is NOT fun! If you are trying to gain more HP by loosing it then get a better exhaust or something simple like that!
