Okay, so we all know not to buy from E-bay. because its too risky. but I have 4K for my clip and I am too scared to buy form anyone. I was going to buy from Afterdark. but now that i read about daunt not returning calls I am scared. so who did all of you SR owners buy from? flashoptions is another obvious bad choice as with anything outside America. there is only one local shop, and they are overpriced but should I spend the extra 400 to get a guarenteed motor? now the guarentee comes form the fact that I can get in their face when it never shows and I have store front to complain to. please guys help a fellow car nut out.

Thanks in advance

David

its an easy choice: heavy throttle or Phase2 or maybe unstable hybrids has some in stock.

okay well, phase2 has no motors, but great business sense. so I can't buy from him. Unstable stopped selling motors. so heavy throttle is the only recomendation. John do you have a SR? or is this just speculation?

and robbby is projectsilva a person or a shop?

Chips just south of Atlanta off I-85. He dosn't really have a shop per say, he has a 'real job' and dose this for fun. All the motor's are in a warehouse he rents out. But if you got ahold of him he'd take you over and show you everything.

I think we're going to Japan in a month or so to pick up a bunch more clips. If you guys want to make a group buy for motor's that would be delivered in like 2 mos or so we could arrange that. It's going to be another month till we go over (all motors are hand picked) and then a month at least to get the things on a boat, over here, and through customs.

I ahve been Emailing him but from what I hear about after-dark is once the money is in his hands then comuntcaion trails off. can't find one person who has their clip/motor they order. however I hear he is doing installs there. which does not help me much being in Texas.

Heavy throttle dosn't have any motor's in stock. I don't think they will for a few more weeks either.

Clean SR's are getting really hard to find.

I just purchased a clip from Cardinal Performance. I have not got it fully wired up yet, but I am well pleased with what I got. Everything was included and the turbo has almost no play.

There are not that many people in the southeast that can say they heard their motor purr like a kitten before they purchased it.

I would highly recomend Chip at Cardinal Performance. He has gone above and beyond my expectations.

Got mine from HT. Very good customer service. Jeff & Yury have always been very helpful. I recommend HT.

I bought my S13 clip from Phase2. Everything that needed to be there was there, and the engine fired up on the first try.

I got my redtop from HT, Ultra clean, the valvetrane looks brandnew. The sent out very sparten motorsets but they come with everything essential guarenteed. I have dealt with Jeff ALOT and they are very helpful. Unfortunatly, jeff told me they are no longer doing harness re-wiring due to people always blaming wiring first when a motor doesnt work. Although that may have just been temporary, i havent talked to them in a few weeks.

you see this is why i wish those places had them in stock. they don't seem to take reservations(deposits) for new ones either.

I've heard of Marco Vargas before. He was one of the first, if not the first, to put an SR20DET into a Datsun 510.

Easy, Jess. Let the man speak.

If ANY of the mentioned shops have engines IN STOCK and want a ringing endorsement, have them contact me - We'll do some research and offer them some advertising space, and perhaps even facilitate a group buy.

You guys NEED a good, reliable supplier, and we want to work with someone with integrity to help you get what you want.

weekilty what jesse was getting at has nothing to do with what cars you have. He was trying to say that as a new member it is difficult to know fore sure wether or not you are legit. This community gets screwed pretty mutch constantly by every new guy that comes in saying he has clips. You should take no personal offence, it is just the nature of our situation right now.

However to ME someone quoting statistics on cars doesn't automatically make them legit or give them any kind of credit. I have personally delt with Marco before and My experence was good. I recomend him often. He is not however as well known here as Heavy Throttle or Phase 2. Enjuku is also gaining respect (i got my motor from them) If you want props and credibility you must earn it instead of talking about cars you guys have.
