About damn time
I don't have a bunch of pics of the process to follow, I was working all weekend by myself and was mostly focusing on getting everything done.
It was such a (female dog) to get the ecu plug through the firewall. Took about an hour and required the glove box being removed and the AC+blower motor assemblies being unbolted.
Jump to everything pretty much together
Dakota Digital Speed correction box and ecu all hooked up. That ecu is a monster, gonna try and fit it in the glove box.
Girlfriend thought my car was a little dirty
Everything ready to go, all systems check, prepare to fire.....
SIKE
First problem: The battery was dead. I had it charging for a couple hours, but it was enough. I put the charger on engine start and tried again. Turns out the battery wasn't holding a charge at all so I got a new one.
Second problem: the car did absolutely nothing. Turn the key and not a single thing happened. I wen through some trouble shooting and after confirming power/signal to the starter I confirmed that the starter had to be bad. Well needless to say I was pissed
The passenger header had to come back out in order to remove the starter. Long story short the starter was a turd and I got a brand new one from advanced.
Third problem: So with the starter in I was ready to crank her over until I saw oil pressure. This time it actually turned over and everything seemed good. I then installed the wires/plugs and put the fuelpump fuse back. Now for the moment of truth.... crank.... crank....crank...
Another long story short thanks to the internet I had the feed and return lines to the fuel filter/regulator backwards
Finally after many many many long hours and busted knuckles I could finally say..... SHES ALIVE!!!!! It obviously was super loud with the open headers, but it went right to 1000 rpm and idled pretty smooth.
