Which transmission speed sensor do i need with my SR swap?

I have an 89 s13 with an s14 sr20det swapped in.

I know i need to use a USDM sensor because the SR sensor will read KPH, but what i want to know is can i use any year KA sensor, or does it have to be from a SOHC for any reason to get a proper reading on my speedometer? And i no longer have the stock speed sensor, otherwise i wouldn't be asking this...

I do believe you will need a SOHC speed sensor, though I'm not 100% positive.
