I'm looking to stay under a 1K, I looked at the Tein Basic Damper and the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-0C, which one would be best for daily driving and anyone with experience with these coilovers ????

Probably not. The only Nismo coils I've seen are well over $1300 and perform similar to Tein Basics.

For under $1000, Powered by Max and Megan are really your only options for (arguably) decent coils. You could save another $100-$200 and get Stance GR+ as well...

Well here is my $.02

If you are daily driving you car you dont need coils. If you track/DD then I would suggest a entry level type coil. Ussually the least expensive of the brand line-up

If you are just DDing then stick with a spring/strut combo...No need for coils.

he didn't ask for cheep crappy coilover brandshe asked what coils are good for DD.

Tein Basics have a 6/6 spring rate setup and are comfortable dampened.

i vote tein basics as they are around 800 and have a smooth ride..and you cant go wrong with tein.

IMO you already answered your own question. both of those are perfect for DD needs. get whichever one is cheaper, as they are both equal.

+1I agree, you dont NEED coilovers for DD... for track, a definite yes. I think a good spring/strut combination would be perfect for Daily driving.... I run H&R springs/AGX struts, good ride height (1.4f, 1.3r) solid turn-in, not a harsh ride at all.... all for just $550 shipped

get megans. People usually aren't satisfied with the drop of strut/spring, and megans really aren't as bad as people say. Plus, its for DD only. If it were a track car, I'd probably say get something on the higher end.

*sigh* The typical 240sx owner who chooses the cheap, low quality way to do things. I bet when your godspeeds or KSports blow on you, you'll be making a similar thread saying "which high end coilover should I buy ?" Don't screw up the first time. Get it right and never have to do it again. Pay for quality. Pay for research and development. Pay for piece of mind. Pay to play.

im pretty sure the strut is fully threaded, so you can probably go lower than that. i dont know the "limitations" for the super drifts, ride height wise, but i dropped my s13 about four inches.

pointless post.

i hate it when people claim that youre just paying for the name. sometimes, this is true, but there are DEFINITE differences between a tein coilover and a ksport. a megan. godspeed. whatever.

they know their ****. buy teins.

i roll on footwerks coils when you order them from extramadefactory.com you can choose which spring rate you would like and for a small price diference you can choose pillowball mounts or rubber mounts...i paid 850 for mine 32 way adjustable...I pounded on em and DD them for about 5 months now and they are fantastic

what are all the spring rates? i have been hearing a lot about different companies but if they are hard springs then maybe the dd needs softer springs for something more comfortable right? i'm just saying.
