orly?

they're cheap for a reason. I know already 3 people that had/has and all of which are in the process of failing if it hasn't already failed on them.

Do you really need adjustable height?

Why not some Koni's and some good lowering springs.

OR. . . .

If you need height adjustment, get some Koni's with ground control / koni threaded sleeves?

Just a thought.

put a tein on the test and see if all the damping are the same...i believe i have read something about how coilovers not being the same damping on all four corner and if you want close damping numbers on all four corner, spring and shock combo are the best....this was on nico forum last week i believe..

K, here's truth.Want something comfy for daily?Looking at coilovers and not spring and shock combos for max height adjustability? Then you're looking at over 1000 bucks easy. I'm sorry, but MR, KSports, etc coilovers aren't gonna cut it as comfy. People just deal with it because they are cheap.

Now, if you're serious about a comfy ride with coilovers, I only have on recommendation. However you'll need to save up a little bit more that $1000.

Tein Flexes.

I had them on my S13 3 years ago. They have switched owners 3 times after I let them go 1.5 years ago. And guess what? They still ride nice and comfy.

I'm not the only one who will back up these coilovers. Norm has these on his hatch and loves them. I've had numerous people fall asleep in my S13 with these coilovers on. They ride awesome. No other S-chassis on coils could compare to how comfy these coilovers were.

And that's truth.

and, just for the record there are Nismo S-Tune "coils" for $700 at different websites, but from what I hear they're just spring/shock combo and they ride a little high

Pretty much. No adjustability. Just a nismo set of shocks and springs. Uber basic.

That is correct. Nismo S-Tune(Street Tune) is nothing but a shock and spring combo, so it's legit and price is right.

I searched like crazy when I bought a set for myself and this is what I ended up.

- First thought about GR-2 w/Tein S-Tech springs- KYB AGX w/Tanabe GF-210 Springs- Tein Basic coilovers- Megan Coilovers- KTS coilovers- And finally ended up buying Stance GR+ Pro

Good thing is most of time when I'm driving, I forget that I have coilovers. It's awsome!!!

What about Tanabe Sustec Pro S-0C Type II Coilovers or NEX Coilover Type SS for a daily driver 96 240sx which would work better?

I want to get my G50 situated on coilovers before I purchase a kouki S14 and freak that.

Anyone have any thoughts on proper quality coilovers for a 90-96 Q45? I'm looking to lower ride height ala VIP without sacrificing comfort.
