I know they did, but I was wondering if there was a better option for the money and from a performance stand point, which was better... This car would end up seeing heavy track time an I doubt the brembos that came OEM would stand up to the abuse after very long. There are larger kits available and I think that the larger kits have thicker rotors and I wasn't sure if that makes a large difference or not, but I was looking if anyone had done this and what their thoughts were.MaximA32 wrote:The z33 track edition came with Brembos. I would go with those as they would probably give you the least amount of resistance to install.
beautiful Z you have. and with 565rwhp... wow. very nice. first post, i see. welcome to nico!JETPILOT wrote:For the money you can't beat thestoptech 14' ST-40 4 piston front kit with the 2 piece Aerorotors.
They cost about $2000 and will take anything you can throw at them with a good brake fluid.
My Home track is Sebring and I had the OEM Brembo's and they were great with track pads, but the bigger StopTechs are better.
I have 565 whp so I really needed it. In addition my car is full weight.
The Grand Tourismo Brembo's are considerably more expensive. Don't get crossdrilled rotors. They will crack on you. Go with blank rotors or slotted.
I don't use ducting. The OEM Rear Brembo's are just fine for tracking.
I agree. Nice ride.JDMZ32 wrote:

My car happens to be an 03 touring non-Brembo too. One item you need to be aware is your wheel size. The Stoptech BBK's require 18" wheels. I also recommend slotted instead of cross drilled. Cross drilled has more edges and therefore more likely to wear down the pads more quickly.jabber87 wrote:Alright took me a few minutes to find this thread cuz it wasn't where I posted originally. But anyways the car is the 03 touring.... so a non-brembo car.... which is why I am looking into getting a bigger kit.
Trust me I have done my research on pricing and cross drilled vs. slotted/blank, even seen a few cracked rotors. The car is located in TX and is full weight, which is why I am asking.
Thanks for the feedback guys, really appreciate it. I think I am going to try and find some OEM brembo rear calipers and then grab some stoptechs for up front like jet pilot. Seems like the best option IMO.
I would be more worried about the rotor cracking with cross drilled rotors, thanks for the heads up though.Bubba1 wrote:
