Hi... I'm new here. I made a post and some people requested some more info on it. So I thought I would make an intro post.

My car is a 2004 Chrome Silver Track model. Over the last 4 years I have been modifying it for road racing. My home track is Sebring and I am new to the sport. I belong to CHIN and HPDE my car. That's enough for me. I drive against my own lap times. I have no sponsors and put this car together paying retail for everything. This is my sencond turbo kit and third motor (second built one).

The car is a Greddy TT with a built motor (nicknamed SAA2 Shock And Awe V2.0). I have the following list of mods and adding more all the time. The car makes 565 whp and 520 fl lbs of tourque on a Dynojet.

Nice Ride JetPilot, and incredible power. Really good build, what happened to the first two motors?

Hi Gentlemen...

The first motor, the stock one, blew with the Turbonetics kit on it. The tuner had raised the rev limit to 7200 RPM without asking me or telling me. One day I over reved and snapped a connecting rod.

The second motor, a fully built motor a copy of the one I have now, was tuned improperly and fried the rings. So I got a new one replaced under warranty.

nice. i plan to go with the turbonetics kit if i ever have any money to do so, is there anything you recommend? any downfall to the kit? i'm looking to maybe max the car out at 400 whp on stock internals. if i build the motor i want to aim for 650+ for a highway monster. Highway is where the money is in my town...

I wouldn't recomend the Turbonetics kit. The build quality is not good, You wil have A/C issues, cracked pipe brackets, failing turbo seals and a whole list of issues. The kit isn't very complete. The ECU reflash isn't the best, and if you get the tuner kit you will need to get an ECU solution such as a UTEC. They do have good customer service and support to a point. Everyone I know that had a Turbonetics ended up blowing the stock motor and selling the kit and goign with something else.

The only kit I recomend is the Greddy TT kit. If you blow your motor you can up the power to 600Whp if you desire. The Turbonetics max's out at approx 450whp. I recomend it because I have experience with it not that anything else is inferior.

I love the Greddy. It is well well engineered and has been trouble free. You don't hear of problems with the Greddy other than the E-Manage Blue ECU it comes with. It's garbage.

With labor and parts I'm close to 40-45K I'd say.

I'm not sure what your asking. Are yo uasking how much money I put into the car for all the mods minus what I did twice? That's 40-45K plus 35K for the car. Total cost 75-80K.

Total cost for the Greddt TT and built motor plus ECU and tunung, install labor? That's about 25K.

To anyone wanting to mod a car like this? Don't! You have no idea what your getting yourself into. I never intended on going this far!

The car was in the shop for an entire year!
