Why will your mom kill you? My mom didn't approve of it either but it was my car to do whatever I want with. My advice is save yourself the $1000 and spend your time doing the research and preparing for what can go wrong. I collected info from here and other swap guides until I felt ready. Then I finished it in a week with little mechanical experience. This is a very easy swap, just make sure you have all the parts and tools ready before you start. Wiring is a little tricky when swapping an S13 SR into an S14. Good luck!

I Agree, I researced for about a month, I started at about 6pm on a friday, and was finished by 2 am sunday morning, around 24 hours of work not counting sleep. Only problem was then I had to wait 3 weeks for my harness from Yuri because redtop into S14 chasis wiring sucks and he is brilliant. All in all, I think I put 48 hours in, from the time I pulled it in the garage to the time I pulled it out. As long as youve got the tools, and some friends, and a good Internet connection, you can do it yourself. Plus, if you do it yourself, not only will the car feel more sentimental, when somthing breaks, and somthing always does, you will be more able to identify and fix it yourself. Also, 1000 can buy a lot of bolt of goodies

I knew someone who had a garage and engine lift so i didn't have that trouble. I forgot, but like SideWays said, it makes it all worth it to have that knowledge and skill when something breaks.

Talk to the guys at AMS in Gaithersburg Maryland...kinda close to Philly...

Atlantic Motorsports kicks some serious *** with their work, and all the guys there have a good passion for cars

Heavythrottle.com Heavythrottle is highly recommended, and they are located in NY. More than likely worth the trip, good prices too. Good luck, SR's are fun if they are done right.
