Go to Advance Technology Center in Ormond Beach Fl. New program for high school students. I'll leave high school with an A.S degree. I'm taking auto mechanics for my special class. Just got done rebuilding the ka24de. So much easier when you got tools to work with. Work at Adam's Mark Hotel Daytona Beach as Valet make around $8 average. Some nights I've averaged at $5/hr other nights I've made $20/hr just depends on the people. Great job for me and I love it. Especially when cars pull up that I'll never be able to afford.

University of Georgia and I quit my job at Waffle House cuz all the workers there are so damn lazy as hell so I end up doing 80% of the work. Do not eat there again. Most of them have a sanitation grade of C- b/c they rarely wash their plates and silverware.

So that just means you were less fortunate. Some people still see it as their duty to care for their children and give them all that they need. That doesn';t constitute a spoiled child. At least he helps them out and works for what they give him.

Jaypat, no luck on those 240's, huh? Damn. I'm trying to get in-touch with this guy in North Carolina but he won't pick up his phone. I think he's dead or something.

Nah...thanks though, cuz I've done a lot of thinking, and I've decided that what I really want is a 95. When I took a drive in my friend's S13, I didn't like it much, but when I drove my other friend's S14, I really loved it. Plus, I have a thing for zenki S14 ***. :) I don't want any regrets after spending all that money, you know?

Same thing my manager said to someone. Said she hates those kids who constantly live off their fathers.

I work at a small (but growing) software/web company called Cierant, doing a lot of software testing, web site management, et cetra. Not there a year, $9/hour, not a bad deal . . .

Oh, graduated the "prestigious" New Milford High School in the spring, will be heading down to Virginia Tech in 2 weeks or so . . . if only Marcus Vick wasn't such a moron, I'd be a whole lot more upbeat about our team this year. :-)

Ok... what's the difference between me working for my father and getting paid, and me working for my father and having my necessities paid for? In both cases, I work, and I get what I need...

It sounds like you're a dumbass :)

Uhh.. I pay for all of my parts with my own money.

My father hasn't paid for any of it. In fact, at first he discouraged me from touching my car. I bet you all had as much freedom as you wanted when you were my age since you all claim to have had such crummy parents. That's something I never had.

Amen to that. I live on my own and I have a full time job and go to school, and when I come home to visit, I still get slapped on a 11-12 o'clock curfew. Hahaa.

You know what pisses me off even more? People who are rich but say they're not rich. Those are the real p******. I'm not name calling anyone on NICO. Just sharing an experience about how some people don't believe there are actually others out there who just aren't as fortunate and, moreover, try to accuse others of lying about how tough it is for them. I know someone like this personally. They're usually one of those who lack "common sense."

I highly doubt it's possible to feed yourself and clothe yourself, etc. such as insurance, just by working for your father--and have money for parts for your car. Millions of people out there have 2-3 jobs and they're hardly making it.

Well, unless he pays you ****load a week.

Actually, thanks to NICO, I happened to come across a lot of money about 8 months ago. I've used and invested that money to buy my parts.

I'm 20 and I just finally got insurance in my own name. I've always been on my parents and they just paid it. I buy my cars and fix them, and they pay the insurance. Unless I ask my dad to help me do something and he throws a fit and makes me take it to a garage(like my truck for brakes....instead of helping me one day, he's taking it to a garage, but whatever). My parents send me money when I need it and are going to help with my insurance and truck payment. I guess you could say I'm kind of spoiled....but my parents just like to help me out when I need it.
