I have a 4" Nokia GPS, would love it where the sterio is but would have to move the head unit... Oh well, it would look good there. Anyone find a universal mount? My Nokia came with one a mile long, almost everywhere I put it is in my face unless in the center of the glass low.

It WILL fall, when mine did it didn't crack the dash but the power plug is on the bottom... and that hit first knocking the connector loose from the motherboard. I'm lucky and know someone who works with micro electronics to fix it for me.

I just got it back and the first thing I did was make a mount for the mount... in the radio area. Covered the empty din below the radio with a piece of ABS black plastic and mounted the mount to that. Works great, doesn't get in my way, doesn't fall but I can remove the GPS... It will work until I get my hands on a double din gps unit... I'm drooling over those.

but if you are using a GPS there is ussually sight and hearing involved. both go to your opposite sides of the brain (ie. your right eye is interpretted by the left side of the brain and your left eye by yhe right side of the brain. same for hearing) so wouldnt you want to mount it on the right side of the windsheild? this is also why people say you look left when you lie instead of right since the right side of the brain deals with creativity.
