you are in florida, so i would suggest asking dee.

but for the record, i got mine from venus auto in '02. since then i have heard bad things, but i had a great experience with them. i paid $1000 for my front clip and it had 22k on it.

JDMsource.ca

paid $1400 canadian for each motoralso had a ca with a blown headgasket that i picked up for $400

i don't think he is bringing in any more ca18's though. i was talking to allen from worldcarlink (he works in japan from now and than) and he said ca18 powered cars are extremely rare now. most of them have been exported or already chopped. but hey there are people still selling them so grab one while you can.

oh but seriously, i am waiting for all these imported silvia's to swap out there motors for sr20's or someone to crash. you can get these motors cheap

Are they really? I am saving for a motorset myself and I think I am going to get it from SOKO, since they are less than twenty miles from me so free shipping

i had to get one of those green tags, where its a carry on, but they put it somewhere else. and at O'Hare, TSA was none too happy about an engine block in a sea-bag (big green duffle bag basically) and i had to pay an extra $90 or something for an oversized overweight bag. (also they spent so much time fussing about it that i missed my flight and had to get the next one)

the engine from teh wrecked 180, i had apart in time to get shipped with my household goods (along with the rest of the silva) just the engine that was in teh silvia didnt come apart fast enough, and i had to pack it in big 60lb tupperware bins (about 7 of them), ship them to myself..... except the block 82 lbs, with no way to cut it down.... had to bring it on the plane

I WIN

Even had a T25G and mystery clutch included.

I got my jdm rwd CA18DET from jdmsource.ca aswell. This was the same place that my brother had ordered his jdm H22 which is another reason i picked them. It cost $1350 shipped to my house and was a motorset. It came with basically everything thats needed to make the swap happen. They didnt include an ECU but i called them up and they had one shipped to me immediately. Other than that my only other gripe is that the wiring harness is almost complete but they cut it. Dont know why they did this but i will have to work on that when the time comes. Overall still a good buy and good company to do business with. I recommend them!

Im reading alot of good reviews about JHOT.... just luck that i happened upon exactly what im looking for for my cressida from them.... the valve cover is a bit grungy, but it has 102k km (~63k miles) ... looks like its a full swap too, even downpipe and some of the engine bay harness

if everything goes thru, ill post up my experience with them too

(this is not for a CA BTW, but some toyota love)

CJ

i just noticed, it looks like it comes with both throttle cables (the accelerator pedal and cruise control.... if so.... win

Tyrannix what engine where you planning or did you get?

As of tommorow I will be taking over the sales/customer service position at JHOT and I honestly hope to help out as much as I can.

Im glad to hear good things about JHOT but if someone had a bad experience let me know so we can better ourselves for the future.
