i wouldnt get those if i were you. personally i would get a type r and vtec emblem. thats what i have and damn let me tell you its like having a turbo. those things make your car scream. after you get those on your car, head up to your local pep boys and get a lighted muffler tip, make sure the tip is at least 12 inches, the bigger the better. oh and greatest thing off all. make sure you get the fake chrome windshield wipers. those are always a great addition to any car. hope this helps.

hahah nice..

but as you can see CYBEREAGLE19. people do not like emblems that don't belong on your car on these forums..

I would say, it's your car, do what you want. As long as you like it.. just go for it, who cares if others like it or not... just be aware of the critisism that you will get fromdoing it.... unless you have the power to back up something like that...

I dont know how to explain it to you without being rude. But i'ma try.

Your car is not a silvia, nor a 180. Not matter what you do to it, it never will be. If you strip your car down to just the unibody, and have every possible part shipped from a japanese dealership, you will still have a CONVERTED 240sx. Not a silvia. Not a 180sx.

Beyond that. SILVIA has something of a stigma to it. While the Sivlia did come in non turbo, most people think of it as the SR20DET motor, and the power and nissan pride associated with it. its never good to have hondas running around talking about how the beat a 'silvia' when all it was was a stock ka24e.

I hope that came off as an explanation and not a bad taste lecture. Now gold emblems, thats just bad taste =P

Alright, I put a Silvia shield on my S14 a month ago. You guys are saying I'm a ricer? funny

Cybereagle : Jspec.com has shields and Silvia emblems. I'm not sure about the Gold emblems. You might try a Nissan Dealer. If you can't get gold, you can always just paint them.

Cyberkreig.. i live in iowa.. hence the name IowaSilvia. I own a 91 Silvia Q's. Does it state somewhere that u can't have a Silvia in Iowa. Or do u just think that because I'm from iowa I drive a 4X4 pick-up.

Iowa - Unless you had it imported, its not a silviaaj- of course not! I never said I wouldnt want a silvia headlight conversion, or a strawberry face conversion, or 180sx tails or any of the other distictive Silvia/180 parts. But that doesnt make your car a silvia/180

I guess they do.. If u ask me. A Silvia is a 240sx. Just put in a sr20det and a LSD in a 240, do the front end conversion from a front clip along with the rhd conversion, and woolaaa.. Silvia. It's made by nissan. I don't think i would be slapping on GT-R badges on my 240sx though.. that's ricer all the way. I wouldn't even do that to a Silvia. I got skyline floor mat in my silvia. does that make me a ricer? I don't anymore though.. I found some original Q's mats that are like new. Now it is a complete car. ahhahahaahha

Cyberkreig............IT IS A SILVIA... Ok. if i had a 240 sx.. i would say 240sx.. there is a difference.. 240sx w/sr20det. .. why would i be calling my 240sx a Silvia Q's.. Wouldn't I be calling it a K's, since that is the best. But I was just fortunate enough to get a Q;s with an sr20det in it

You didnt really make any sort of point there. We can argue all day long about this Silvia vs. 180 vs. 240 junk.. Its been done 1000 times before.

if you read my first post i didnt mention being a "ricer" anywhere. (another term that we can argue over for an hour to no end) I was simply explaining WHY some people on this board (myself included) do not like to see JDM emblems on USDM cars.

if you would like to dispute any of my stated reasons, you are welcome to. But saying things like "piss on you", claiming that your USDM car with silvia badges is a Silvia Q and throwing in examples about Skylines do not help your argument.

if you do have a RHD, imported Silvia Q, than that is Friggin awesome, I congratulate and envy you.

but then this thread doesnt really apply to you.

nope i guess it doesn't.. I'll go and wish i was driving my Q. It is under anestecia. however u spell that.. Major surgery.. it's getting a new turbo, fmic, 550's, jwt ecu, bov, and intake. smells like burned rubber i think....

if you want some parts halla... smic/bov, piping, turbo that needs to be rebuilt (but not bad), 270 inj, trust intake from japan w/silvia maf, give me some offers .. off the subject though.. oh yeah.. ecu too......

Silvia or 180 badges ONLY belong on imported cars. If I look up the VIN number and it says 240SX it's a 240SX no matter how much you do to it. Putting Silvia or 180 badges on a USDM car is RICE. PERIOD. If you think you can claim you are not a ricer just because you used Nissan stuff to create something ricey, you are totally incorrect. Have pride in your 240SX for god's sake. No need to get badges to make your car unique, make it unique by the class you keep, the skill with which you drive, and the taste you spend your money and make your modifications with.

Trust intake? You should catch me on aim or via email.

again, i appologize if you think i was attacking you.. You'll see that i am not an unreasonable person.. I just dont want to see a bunch of lightly modded USDM's running around claiming to be silvias/180s and getting beat.

How about we compromise. take all your badges off completely. then you'll just leave them guessing. if you really want to put silvia badges on your car, at least wait until you have done everything else you possibly can to your car first.and you guys whining about how his car will never be a silvia even after a swap and RHD conversion blah blah blah, it's just silly. Headlight s13 conversion for example is just an image change. it makes your car look like a silvia. same with the badges, it completes the image. it doesn't make his car a silvia, nor does it automaticaly make the claim that the car is a silvia. Anyone who knows what a silvia is will know that it isn't realy a silvia, and the others prolly will not even know what a silvia is. It is rediculus however, to put silvia badges on a stock 240sx. and it would be stupid to badge your car a silvia AND go around telling people that it is a silvia.

First off, I'm about as 'anti-rice' as they come...

If you have a SR swap in your 240sx, technically it's no longer a 240sx, the name '240' is derived from the displacement of the engine. Personally, I think if you have an SR swap in your s14 or s13 coupe with silvia headlights, I think they deserve the 'Silvia' badge, but S13 fastbacks will never be Silvias...

Who cares which side the seat is in, etc... the chassis is the same...What really makes a Silvia (K's) a Silvia is the sr20det.
