LOL @ When he was 8, Orson Wells scared the crap out of him with War of the Worlds.

I never did the Nintendo thing, I was one of the few with the Master System =/

Kids are spoiled these days. I remember saving up for months to buy a SNES. Man, when I got that home I was like "MOM! LOOK AT THESE GRAPHICS!! SWEET AREN'T THEY?!"

Boy how things have changed the past 12-15 years.

I haven't played it since... but I used to love Pro Wrestling.

I remember thinking Mario 3 was AMAZING.

On super nintendo I still play Aero Fighters, and its still amazing. That and F-Zero are probably the best SNES games ever made (never big into RPGs)

Not an old game, but I just tried "Gravity Crash" on PS3. It is very old school, and the full game only costs $5. There is a demo on PSN If you have a PS3 give it a try.

Super Mario 3 IS amazing.
gammer_ghn wrote:So what are some favorite og games we love?
The good ones. Way too many to list.I still enjoy the occasional game of Combat and Gauntlet on my 2600. And I play all my Kirby games regularly (Dreamland 1-3, Adventure, Super Star). Mario 3 and 4...and a lot more.

Even at the time I couldn't believe people thought it had good graphics. Someone would boot up OOT and I'd look at it and think "Good lord...I've got icons on my desktop with higher pixel counts than that grass texture." The Expansion Pak helped a bit, though.

I had a game genie for my NES, too. Had NOTHING on the 32X. The 32X had metal clip dealies you had to shove in the slot with the device and it had its own power source.

I remember on excite bike if you used the speed code with game genie then made a track with the ramp that looked like /| you could jump so high you came back around the bottom of the screen.

I had Nintendo for ever. I ended up with so many games (few of those paper grocery bags full), the running mat, the power glove, a big wireless joystick controller... I basically took all my friends nintendo stuff as they moved on.

You guys remember that Rad Racer had a 3d mode where you could wear those colored glasses?!

Round the time everyone was getting N64 I bough a sega w/sega cd off my friend.

All I have to say is:

Mario Kart and Killer Instinct ftw. Super Mario RPG was sick too.

Greatest thing about N64 and cartridge games is that they are freaking indestructible, it is the only system that doesn't break from the atrocities that occur in a college student's house or apartment.
