Just curious when people bought their first 240SX (or other S-chassis model if overseas). I know the popularity of the cars have increased over recent years, but I know there are die hard enthusiasts who've been around since the 90's out there! So post up your story and vote!

I bought my first 240SX on October 11th 2003, lol (long story why I know the exact date). I bought it because I fell in love with the cars when a buddy of mine just finished his SR swap and took me for a spin. At the time I had a Civic, lol. Needless to say, the Civic was gone and the 240SX was in my driveway very soon!

I bought 1996 Nissan 240SX SE bone stock from CarMax in August 2002. I traded my '00 Dodge Ram 3500. After building her in my then speedshop, I sold her to my business partner in April of 2005 as I caved in to peer pressure from my bike buddies to get another Gixxer. Garry (ex-biz-partner) vowed to keep her until I reverted back to my senses; which was like a whole 2 months later. But as fate would have it, death, divorce, unemployment all took their toll. I was finally able to buy her back in January of this year ... life is good and so are good friends. :)

That's awesome that you got the original back! I wish I never sold my original 240SX. Some kid in WA has it last I heard, lol.

Oh, I'll play.

'92 Black SE Coupe AT with 23k miles purchased in August 1995.

I had it almost a year when I graduated HS and it was killed by 18-wheeler in June of '04.

Bought my first S13 in April of 2005, I originally wanted a Z31 but after a couple of months I couldn't find a nice clean one in Miami. My neighbor owned the S13 before me and used it as a daily, he put it up for sale after buying a pick up and I snatched it for $900. After painting it and lowering it, I sold it a year later...big mistake. I missed that car so much, I bought my second and current S13 on July 4th 2007 and after almost 3 years, I still love her to death.

I bought my 1993 240sx in February of 2001.Pulled it out of the junk yard door deep in snow.Front end damage.Hit a ditch. It was rust free, bone stock with no options and 80,000 miles on it.Paid $700 towed it home.Found out it had a lien on it for $2500.I ended up paying $300 after negotiate for 8 months for the title from the bank.During that time i bought a rusted up 90 240,but had good fenders, hood, bumper, and doors. Also vary clean interior. The 93 interior was trashed.Sold the rest of the 90 after i was done with it.Had a good motor and transmission.Paid 400 for it and sold it for 200.After straighting her out replacing all the brakes and suspension i drove it 2 tone for about a year than rattle can it all black. Now,it's all painted blue with good paint and has a roll cage in it.Lots of other stuff.I love my car. Will never get rid of it.Way to much fun.

Well I got mine back in 07 from WV. It was a shell when I got. I paid 450 for and and then I put 12k into it. I was going to spend 10k on a supra but opted for the 240 because I always wanted a 240.

Went from a 88 RX7 to a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL and finally got a stock 95 S14 in late 2000. Looked like this before it was stolen back in 2003.

Back when my dad was in his early 30's and still cool, he bought himself a 300zx z32 brand new from the dealer in 95. Then my mom found out she was pregz with my lil sister about 2 months later so he sold it the same year to buy a suv. Soon about a year later he bought a 90 240sx hatch. He liked the fact the he could afford it, but he hated the underpowered performance. So the very next year he sold the 90 and bought the 240 that I have now. It's a 92 SE hatch, and at the time had 80k miles. Over the years he's been using it as a daily driver when the weather calls for it, but never really took care of it like a true sports car. So as a result, it has a bunch of electrical problems and the body is in rough shape. My dad gave me the car yesterday as a surprise gift right after I got my license. I've been reading on these forums for about half a year now to get used to the car's history and the scene that comes along with it. When I find a job I'll probably start building it up and I look forward to everyones advice in the problems I'm sure I'll encounter lol.

This is what it looks like as of today... mmm it actually doesn't look half bad.. But one important thing we learned from Myspace is that pictures on the internet can be very deceiving.. :couch

After discovering the 240sx and falling in love with it i started to go through craigslist to find a reasonably priced one. Eventually i found one locally in august 2009, a 91 240sx 5spd hatch with 162k miles, beatrush cooling plate and a bride seat for $750. It was great it just needed a couple things head gasket, some tires and a power steering hose. For now I'm just have it for daily driving.

i was at a chevron and i just wanted take a picture

^sweet. I fell in love with the s13 chassis in 05, and purchased mine in Fall of 2007, but been reading about them thru mags (turbo...super street...etc) since '98...lol. I was ready for another sw21, but some how my s-chassis coupe had me hypnotized. She wasn't pretty at all, lol.

I bought mine summer of 08. It had two previous owners, both japanese. Treated well, at 73k miles. Didn't know anything about 240's, first car at age of 28 (came to the states for studying). I originally got my license back home on a 5 speed, so a 5 speed was what I wanted. This car couldn't sell in a campus city where every other girl has a mustang. I loved it, I still do, I ll have to let it go soon though, since I will be moving out. I enjoy driving it every day even though my work is like 20 min away walking. /tribute to my 240.

Got mine in October 2008...this car has quite the past.

Ran hard, gotten into several wrecks. The front end is from a different 240 and the rear end is from another. At one point, a suburban (i think) t-boned it, so the driver side is from another 240. So...really, my car is actually 3 240's fused together LOL. The past couple of owners had to sell it because either they were getting married or having a kid.

This is all the stuff that I heard about it, I literally run into someone almost every other week who apparently who knew the previous owner(s) and "this and this happened, etc." Apparently, my car is the town whore...everyone gets a ride!

Im really curious to find the exact details, I practically find out something new with this car on a monthly basis.

Bought my first one (1990 hatch 5-speed) in December 2004 off of ebay for $900. I didn't even know how to drive a manual transmission yet, my buddy had to drive it home.

Jan. of 2006, it was just a shell, and I believe I hold a record here, I have never driven her! She's in paint and body and hopefully will be done and ready to drive by August. 4 year ground-up builds FTMFW?
