When did you get your first 240SX?

got my hatch in 2002, had it ever since. looking at the pole results so far, s-chassis are just getting more and more popular, makes me feel really good about the future.

1991 24sx hb, 135k on chasis, 50k on dual cam swap, 5sp, cusco coils(i think), 5 lug conversons, z32 brakes, 18s, painted Juniper metalic Green.

in 2005. My daily beater at the time was going to need a transmission so i was ready to sell it, and some kid at the skatepark happened to have a car for sale. It was a 240, not that i really cared at the time. I bought it because it was rwd, and looked easy to work on if anything went wrong with it. I didn't really think anything special of it since it was balls slow and whatnot.
Bought my second one in 08 as a daily, and turbocharged my first one. Still got the first one, and sold the second one for the same reason of it being way too slow, and bought a 94 talon tsi awd. It has a bit more power for passing people and should be good in the snow for winter.

Well, in 1995 my mother baught a 1993 hatch and our whole family fell in love with them. Now my mom owns a s13 vert and I recently built my own hatch and I love it, so guess I could say they have been in our family since 1995

Bought my coupe in April of 1994. Second car i ever bought, and i still own it (CA swapped) and daily drive it today. Picked up my 90 hatch about 4 years ago. So ya, ive owned one for 16 years now and one for 4.

I fell in love with them since I first saw one, and always wanted one. since the day I turned 16 I was searching craigslist. found 2 with blown headgaskets, and 1 with 280k miles before. Those 3 were out when I found out about the problems...
I ended up finding my first 240 on craigslist and ended up getting it. Not only as a first 240, but my first car (I'm 17 now). To me though, it's not just a car. that car's my baby, and one of my dream cars.

Got mine in January of 2010 so not that long ago. I had it for three weeks and on the way home from a friends house i hit about 4k rpm and heard a loud pop and the car acted as if i stalled and i pulled into a near by neighborhood. So i get it towed to my shop to look at it and the brokedick owner before didnt tighten the cam gears when he was messing with it and now im stuck with replacing 2 bent valves, timing chain and some other stuff. but s*** happens right and i still love my thirteen.

I got my first 240 January 2008 but I was talking to the guy in December 2007, like alot of people I was looking for a civic since I had 2 of them before, I have always loved the 240sx since driving one in need for speed underground lol, but i was somewhat of a noob back then and didnt think I could find one for a good price lol like it was a 300zx or something rare and expansive like that, so I didnt bother looking for one. So anyways one day my buddy calls me while he is on craigslist asking if i want this car or that car, out of the blue he asks me do i want a 240sx and im like hell yea. So we drive to Green bay Wi. to see it was a 1990 hatch 5-speed with 116,xxx miles, we took it for a spin, (first time driving it was in snow with bald tires lol) so anyways I didnt pick it up then because of title and loan and s***. the night i went to pick it up me and the gf went one some double date s*** so i didnt get to drive it home right away, later that night we went to get it, its snowing, heavy snow. we stop for gas and a quick pic, after we head home im sliding all over the place being use to fwd, we had to go to shawano then to clintionville, green bay is about 50 minutes from shawano going 70 mph then clintionville is another 30 minutes from shawano, so were on hwy 29 going slow as s*** i was going 45 mph all the way, one mile and i mean one mile from shawano im in the ditch. so my gf picks me up we drive to shawano get my truck and straps drive back dig it out and pull it out we leave the truck on the hwy since the 240 didnt have plates and didnt want a cop the think it was abandoned, we start going car is acting really weird then dies about 300 feet from the truck, im thinking its the battery so i run back down the hwy to get the truck, i get there and theres a cop there ugh! so im telling him my story he dont understand so i repeat myself 3 times. he lets us jump the 240 and come pick up the truck later he didnt want us towing it the mile into town. i pop the hood and see there is snow just packed under the hood not letting the fan spin and s*** like that, so im there chopping all the snow finally getting it to run. we get it to walmart parking lot were my gfs car was, we go get the truck drop it off, come back and start driving the clintionville slow and even steadier lol then we had to drop off her car at her grampas and boogie from there to my house. FINALLY, we get home i shut the car off and one headlight stays up grinding cuz its trying to close so i clear more snow ok done go to sleep lol. we left Green bay at 10:30 pm and didnt get back to my house till 5:45am lets just say it wasnt a good start with my 240 lol

Just found my future 91. Yesterday. Owner is mailing the title home, she goes to school in Tenn. Paint is rough, clear coat about all gone. couple dings, not real major. Interior isnt too bad. leather is split in back seat, dash is cracked and Steering wheel leather is beat to hell. But rebuilt motor, new tires,new clutch, new radiator. Cant wait to get her home and start tinkering Around. Btw I just joined the forum today, looks like a new home, cant wait to see all the advice ill be getting haha.

I got mine... last friday lol. The only reason it was so soon was because I haven't had the money to get one, and they're pretty hard to find in the Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune area.
It's a '91 SE Coupe with 105,000 miles, bought it for a little under 5,000 after tax, title, and tags. It's had one other owner, and who ever it was took good care of it. It's practically brand new. Very clean all around. There's nothing that NEEDS to be fixed, just thing's that I'd prefer to alter, like the original AM/FM cassette deck, and there's a small tear in the driver's door panel upholstery. It hasn't even been a week, and this has definitely one of the best decisions I've made in quite a while.

Bought my first 240sx yesterday June 25th 2010
I bought my first ae86 not long after my 15th birthday and in the city you dont get your learners until 16 which means i gotta drive with somebody over 25 and had their licence for at least 5 years. Waited over half a year until i could drive my little rolla legally. it was complete OEM i had for a year and then i sold it and then bought another ae86 only it was a panda trueno instead of straight gts. the new ae86 has full adjustable suspension and little things but now im selling that one and just bought my 240sx. I was looking for a race/drift car and a daily, the 240sx has full regulation roll cage for racing, rebuilt engine 60k kms ago, stripped and little things like seat and springs. now im looking for a daily car which i would like an ae86 for daily but ill see what i end up getting. the 240sx needs some work but nothing major

i voted 09 but its not when i got my first 240 or even when i bought my first 240 but its when i made a 240 mine. here's the story. back in 06 i traded my 89 probe gt turbo for a base model 93 240sx hatch even trade, the 240 had a few mods but was an automatic and a hatch that had be wrecked and had alot of bondo which happened to not be what i wanted. bought 5 speed parts for it but never installed them, put a carbon fiber hood on it that i got used and that was it until i blew the radiator. ended up selling it in 08 and later that year bought a 92 SE coupe. 4 days after having the coupe the motor locked up but i was 500 miles from home. needless to say after months of it sitting so far away i towed it home and bought another KA24de to drop in it. then in 09 i got it running and been driving it daily and have made a few mods to it so it actually became mine and not just another 240. then this year i bought a 89 SE hatch shell that has to be put back together again meaning the full interior and motor has to be put in it.

for background info ive always wanted a 240 after reading about silvias in high school back in the late 90's but never could find a coupe for sale in my price range until i happened to run across one in 08. moral of the story good things come to those that wait. now if i can find a nice vert to add to my s13 collection then i can start to add s14's to the stable.

I got my 95 240sx back in Novemberof 09 she needed alot of work but I fell in love with 240s. But at the time a 5 speed was hard to find. If I would have found her sooner I would have spent my cash on her first than my G but I dont regret it...shes a work in progress

Bought my first S13 in June 1999. Parents got it for me on my 17th B-day. Sold it in 2003 or 2004?? after it had been wreaked 3 times. Bought my current S13 about 6 months before I sold my first one. Started putting the SR in 3 years ago and got it finished a year ago. Never owned anything other than a 240 till I got married and bought my wife a Mazda 6. Before we got married I bought her a 1993 S13 and it ended up dieing on us so we got the 6. I daily drive the 1990 SR and the 93' is sitting waiting to be parted out or sold. Had a S13 coupe in their somewhere too... so that makes 4 S13s in 11 years.
