Hey guys, my girlfriend has an 02 pathfinder and im looking to get a beefy tire/rim setup, preferably with backspacing so they stick out a bit(: im not looking to lift it now, im just looking for a good setup for the summer for some moderate offroading (beaches, a little mud) while keeping stock height

Sky is the limit... if you want specific answers, you need to give specific details... Do you want chrome? Black steelies? Aluminum? Gangsta blade "ridin' on 20's"? Pavement pounders? Mudders? Lug pattern is 6x139.7, you'll need 16"+ to clear the brake caliper. Plug that into Google and all your wildest dreams will come true. :)

Welcome to Nico :)

I had considered getting some new wheels that stuck out a bit, but know that the farther they protrude the more likely you are to encounter rubbing or the tire running into the top of the fender if the wheel gets pushed up that far. I didn't want to have to deal with that so I ended up just leaving it be.

I don't remember seeing any specific threads with what wheels have worked for people and how they look, what they had to do, etc. so you'll need to do some searching and sorting. Offhand, I know that fueler ran some aftermarket wheels that were bigger than stock and had to do some trimming to get them to work. I think the majority of our active users just stuck with the stock wheels, though. You may want to check out NPORA since it's a dedicated Pathfinder offroading forum so you'll definitely have a larger pool of members with aftermarket wheels to hit up.

If you'd like people to post some pictures and experiences in one thread you can open a new one for that purpose, but it may take a while to solicit responses as we all have jobs and families :chuckle:

I'll link to this recent question since it's one I replied to recently.

275/55/17 on 17x8.5 or 17x9 wheel is pretty beefy.
