alright, so heres the deal.... i found a really good price on a set of the datsun iron cross wheels, came factory on the 280zx i believe.... the wheel is 14" and 6" wide, before i get flamed im not into huge a** wheels on a car, or wide tire selection, since its just my daily....

my question is, with a smaller wheel, how much would i have to worry about my speedo being effected (actually going slower than what it reads) and would it cause my mileage to increase faster due the the wheels spinning more rapidly....

also would there be an easy fix of a tire choice to correct the speedometer difference, i remember a post a while back asking a similar question, but with larger wheels (17's)

so if for example the sidewall is 195 stock on the 14s (which i believe they are) i should run 205 or 215?

that wouldnt cause the tire to hang out over the wheel too much would it?

you would need a taller sidewall on the 14's. In the stock size (195/60-15), 195 is the tread width, 60 is the aspect ratio (sidewall is 60% of tread width), and 15 is the diameter.

Based on a calculator (http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp), 195/65-14 would give an almost identical outer diameter as stock. I dont think increasing aspect ratio is good for handling, but if its a daily driver and thats not a primary concern, than go for it.
