hi there... since i am still doing my s13 rb25det conversion, a question has occured...

my mechanic told me that i need an spark plug amplifier (ignator ? ) because without it the engine wont run... now mine from the s13 and CA18DET wont work because its 4 cylinder...

but the person who sold me the rb25det says that he was running it without anything like this...

if someone said they had an rb25 running without that it was probably a series II rb25 which dont have ignitors

There is a detailed writeup in the faq on how to use the updated J30 ignitors. Or if you really want to you can try to find a used ignitor.

whats an ign amp?

if your engine doesnt have that, and it did run, its a Series II.
