More power. A turbo?
Swivel seats. This is not that easy of a car to get in and out of.
Better leather. Leather seems cheap and not up to BMW standards.

Besides the above I love my Q70. It's a sleeper. First day I had it I took it out on a nice no traveled highway and hit 133 before I got scared. It was still pulling to go faster and then I got into some traffic and had to lay off. Power and handling is just awesome.

[quote="armybrat"][quote="reggiebrown40"]I'm in a loaner Q70S AWD right now and they've removed the suede headliner and replaced it with a mesh type material (or maybe it's because it's sport?) the stitching"Infiniti" has been removed from the seats. I can't double press the start button on a running car to have it continue to power the radio while the car engine shuts off. Rear sunshade that goes down in reverse but doesn't come up when you go back into drive is a huge annoyance too. Car has auto trunk closer but nothing for the doors.

The Q70L has the auto door close for the rear doors.
The faux suede headliner is part of the "Deluxe Touring Package" which includes the faux suede headliner, semi Aniline leather front seats and additional side bolsters, it also includes the rear power sunshade.
So it all depends on what options you choose...

What package do you have? I have the premium package that gives you the soft touch leather.

The Deluxe Touring Package give you the Semi Aneline Leather (premium soft touch leather), larger side bolsters on the front seats, faux suede headliner and rear power sunshade and heated steering wheel.

From Edmunds:

Infiniti has given the M top-notch cabin design and high-quality materials. As with the car's exterior styling, the cabin's powerful lines call to mind the muscular curves of a bodybuilder flexing on the podium. Opting for the Deluxe Touring package adds seats upgraded with diamond-quilted leather and contrasting piping, unique "silver-powdered" wood trim, a faux-suede headliner and enhanced material on most primary touch points. In total, the M's interior challenges those of its established European rivals for refinement.

I can't believe even the current Q70s they sell now still have regular bulbs in the cabin. WTF ? Futuristic LED tech up front and in the back.... but nothing on the inside ? lol

Another 100HP or more.
Wider seats.
Better leather.
Smoking package.

I see a lot of electronic adds. I don't give one hoot about anything that "supposedly" helps me drive. I want total driver control over every system so I can turn it off or on.

Don't think so. Where's the 800 HP V8 motor?

Has anyone heard when the next Q70 model will arrive? We're 6 years into it's current design. The FX hasn't been changed since its inception which goes all the way back to 2005 I believe. That being said when the FX was first introduced it was way ahead of its time.

Seems to me, the focus of Infiniti is now mostly on the Q50, the QX30, etc. They don't seem all that keen on improving the Q70 series. Possibly because they sell so few of them. The least they could do is take advantage of the Mercedes partnership and provide a diesel option for the larger models. That way, they have an edge over the majority of full size cars with 50 mpg range. The UK offers diesels in most of the Infiniti models so why not USA? They won't be high sales units in the USA, but neither are the current petrol powered models.

I love my car too.
Yes, indeed. :yesnod

When my current 2003 M45 croaks, it will either be a Tesla or a Q70L that replaces it in all likelihood.

SZH,

I sold my 2004 M45 and bought the Q70. Why? There was no other car on the market that gave me the feeling of the M. The Q70 AWD and 5.6 is actually awesome. On highways or curving mountain roads it honestly out does the M. I would like another 100 HP, but that's me. I am a power pig. I would buy the Q70L if I were you. The Q70 is a great car by all standards. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR NEXT CAR.
