no you got it all wrong he said he wanted to be competitive on the strip imports have absolutely nothing against v8s in a straight line as soon as the domestic guys start using turbos you can just totally forget about us little 4 or six bangers no replacement for displacement if imports were that easy to beat v8 then why did the import drag racing scene die so fast

'70 Cuda > '69 CamaroThen again, I'd go with a C6 Corvette way before either of these two. I like straight line acceleration, but at some point, I'd like to turn also.

Domestics are easier to build up because there's much more of a market for it and it's been around for so much longer. It is much sweeter to beat a V8 in a Japanese import though. Especially a 4 banger. The op's asking about a 10 second car though. Imports are more than capable of running 10 seconds and have been doing it for a long time too. You'd be correct if he's wanting to compete against John Force and run 4 second 1/4 mile times.

So then put a turbo V8 in the 240sx. Then you have the power to wieght advantage over the muscle and build the suspension so it will hook up. Telling a guy to buy a muscle car because it will be easier...I didnt think people on this site thought that way. If I wanted it easy, I would just go out and buy a mustang and mod the suspension to drift. Thats just blastfamous to tell an import guy to go domestic. Thats personally just against my beliefs. This guy puts a turbo v8 in his 240sx and not only will it go 10's or faster, but it will be very impressive. Just like the s14.5 above...very impressive.

Edit: I now see that the s14 has r33 lights. Therefore not s14.5.
