I changed my oil with fresh Royal Purple 5w30 and a Nissan OEM filter. While I was down there I finished running the wires to my oil temp gauge sensor. I now know how hot my oil is running down the thruway. I also greased the steering, checked for things that will need replacing next year. Dropped the front sway bar to grease up the bushings. I also fixed a problem that could have lead to some real problems. The nut at the end of the driver side tension rod was loose, like all the way to the end of the rod loose. I tightened it back down and it drives good again.

Lastly, I showed at the East Coast All Japanese car show in Webster NY. Didn't win anything but it was fun all the same.

What did you do to your truck this weekend?

I put a zip tie on my rusty rear fender so it wouldn't wobble back and forth. Deleted/bypassed clutch damper, still have a stubborn 1st gear.

[edit] Two weeks later now I have pulled the drop-in bedliner to find extensive rust to the bed. I will be welding in new sheet metal, not as a restoration by any means, but as a band-aid. It was either that or build a fladbed out of treated lumber, something I am not ruling out altogether. -SeanG-

I filled it with gas since I spent the weekend moving. Nothing like a few hundred pounds of shop equipment in a lowered truck to mess with people as I drive by

I don't mind not having AC in my 96, I complain all winter long about not being able to be outside so when the heat hits I drive with all windows down. My 95 has working AC which I only use to cool the cabin down after an afternoon sitting in the lot at work with the sun beating down on it. Once I get to speed I open all the windows and lose the AC. I love my rear slider windows!

Pezi, I haven't checked my bag yet but I don't think I have that particular relay though. Sorry bud. I don't know if a different style relay will work, most of mine are from Altimas.

I like riding with windows down also but in alabama at 95 degrees and 90% humidity it is too damn hot for 3 months to do it. June July and August are just to damn hot, and in a black truck it is murder.

I could hang with the heat but that is just WAY too humid for me. I would be sweating in the shower.

Ok, todays projects.

Installed OEM clock in gauge cluster. Replaced fuel filter. Replaced worn out A/C switch. Installed custom billet aluminum battery hold down with Nissan logo. Also scored very good condition Pathfinder left front fender flare and ecm harness connector so I can continue working on my consult port project when I find the time and ambition.

I tore my truck down this weekend to replace the following.
Timing belt (previous was way to tight)
Drive belts
Thermo stat
Water pump
Head temp sensor
Bypass hose
I hope this will fix my over heat issue with ac on. I may be buying a radiator but do not know yet.

New breather filter, Nissan does not make these for the HB anymore BTW. I also replaced my crappy patch-work negative battery cable with a nice and new OEM cable from Dorschel Nissan. Cost me $50 but looks so much better than the one someone hacked up before I owned the truck. Lastly I replaced all the bulbs in my cluster with LEDs, also replaced the lonely 37 bulb in the heater control unit with a super white LED bulb. Starting to draw out my suspension and exhaust plans on paper. So many plans, so little money and time.

Pulled my jump seats and mocked up the new 6x9s, new belts and an oil change. Finished relocating my cruise control under the hood and replaced some hacked up wiring and some old vacuum lines.

Changed oil, air filter and put the tune back to stock (better gas mileage on highway). Going on vacation in two weeks for the first time in four years, can't wait!

Dropped the truck an inch on blocks, new headlights and a pair of Gas-A-Justs in the rear. Tomorrow, adjust torsion bars to match back and shocks in the front. If I get that done and its not raining, Ill give her a bath and finally post a few pics for you guys :)

Next on the list, salvage center console from an early fronty and finish the speaker box in the back.

After assessing extensive structural rust to the undersides of the stock bed, I have abandoned my plan to try and fix it. I have instead decided to start fresh and build my own flatbed out of treated lumber. Details in the coming weeks.

Well lets see I changed the oil, replaced the o2 sensor, and adjusted the torsion bars up since the front was just a lil too low.

Oh and I ordered a set of drop spindles.
