im putting in a CF panel to cover where the radio and pocket are, then putting my turbo timer, boost controller, and gauges there. gonna make it look clean.

Pulled the head off. Man I forgot how much stock bs was in the back to unbolt in the back of the firewall on the head. Most of that is not going back on lol. Pistons and walls are beautiful. Valves look brand spanking new. I'm just gonna get the head resurfaced. Got plenty of power for now.

Well today I got the AC working again.....who knows how long it will last  , yesterday I replaced the fuel pump in a Wawa parking lot, and the day before that I replaced the upper rad hose... :wtf2: . I also started looking for a C5 Corvette so I can give the 240 a break sometimes.

Got my new EFR turbo, so I've spent all day working on polishing the compressor housing. Talk about a slow process

And took my pistons, Rb26 crank, and rods to the shop building my engine so we can bore out the block and check for clearances. We're boring and stroking the Rb20 into a 2.3 liter, finally getting closer to being done :ohno:

Well as I was inspecting the head one of the oil exhaust cam journals in the front is destroyed probably beyond repair. I'll take pics of it soon. Definitely a paper weight for now. :frown:

Looks like I'm gonna need some head work after all. Good thing I have a spare red top head. Probably just swap all the stuff over and get the head ported with new seals. :naughty:

Here is what the bad cam journal looks like now. The other journals were slightly scored but can be cleaned up. This is what isn't supposed to look like. Also where the cam sprocket sits in front of the block is also pitted. It basically closed the oil gallery up slightly enough for the head to knock on the exhaust cam.

This is what it is supposed to look like. This is my spare redtop head. It is nasty and gritty. Cleaned it up the best I can and get it dipped at the machine shop.

Yesterday I drilled out my Thermostat, today it runs exactly at half not higher.

Today I took of the upper intake of the hatch and installed a new gasket and some hoses. Now it should idle, after I fix what ever plug just came off.

Replaced fan clutch and it still gets warm :/

Also worked on what will be a fun SR hatch. Tomorrow we just need to install the diff and do the rest of the exhaust after the DP.

Just put gas in G35 today, ouch.

But drove my S13 Vert Saturday, had been too hot and still was. Need 70s/80s back, these 90s suck. So the Vert may be stored for another 2 months or more, at least it keeps the mileage low I guess.
