I totally understand where you are coming from. I only encourage safety not stupidity, well try to at times. I can not say i have NEVER done anything stupid because i have, when i lose my cool with someone it is never a good thing but generally i am a nice person and try to be,but that is all besides the point though.

I do realize that other peoples choices can effect and entire group, but that is exactly it. "other peoples choices" All we can do is encourage them to be safe, If we push them away by calling them names and ONLY pointing out their flaws and being mean that does not help the situation. Now on the other hand if you were to pull them closer and take them under your wing and take the time to explain to them a few things and teach them, I have always seen that, (For the most part) that story has a happy ending. Teach them that their actions reflect the community that they so know and love.

The common public does not see the clean rides from the ghetto rides. They do not see the FWD's from the RWD's. The only thing they see is Big wings, crazy taillights and exhaust canisters. We all fit into the same category for them.

Now the public is not at fault here, for they should not be held accountable for lack of knowledge on the import scene. It is "our" fault, And i know some of you will read this and be like "that's bull **** i take my **** to the track none of this **** is my fault" or "how is it my fault that johnny decided to go drift the busiest street down town and ended up killing a pregnant lady and her 4 kids!?".

Most of us see the behavior of our peers and just let it slide, that is how it is our fault. You sit in class and hear timmy and joe talk about how "tonight at 8pm on "Dead mans bend" there is going to be a bad *** VTech shoot out, or drift battle" of some sort. And what do you do? you go about your life. Or better yet we insult them calling them names and telling them how stupid they are, and push them away. Not fully remembering that their actions tonight will effect our community as a whole. So the bell rings and you go about your life while tonight someone who could have been persuaded by your words died, due to Vtech pulling him over the cliff. Hits the news and what happens from there? he is just another number and a few more marks are added onto the "Communities reputation".

The way i see it is that majority of the street races or fooling around in public areas is just to show off or rebel. It is natural to sometimes want what you can not have. Lets talk Boobs to lighten the moment a little bit. Men like boobs, men want to see boobs, men would shed at least a second out of their day for any pair of boobs that walked pass them. No need to touch no need to stare, a glance only takes a second. Moving on, why do men like boobs so much? They are forbidden and looked upon as a sacred part of a woman's body. You see a beautiful women in a wet T- shirt with no under garments you are going to wonder what is underneath and hope to God that shirt will remove itself, but no matter how hard you stare at the picture and hope. That shirt will just not move. Thus endorphins are released. Now take the same women and have her completely naked in a picture (not mixing the previous picture or experience with this picture and experience) you are going to look, be like whoa cool boobs and then move on with your life. It was free and required no work to see there for you go about your life. In the picture where the shirt was mocking your curiosity you got a shot of endorphins. (not going to explain how because there are many different types of endorphins and many many many ways for them to release)

Some of you may be confused right now, some of you may have stopped reading, some of you may find this informative and funny. This is just me exorcising my right to throw out an opinion. In no way am i trying to point fingers, just generalize.

Moving on, Endorphins are the things we feel while speeding, weather it be on a track or in the street. They are the feelings we get when balancing the car sideways through a turn (drifting). Adrenalin rush, or adrenalin in general is something we have all experienced at one time or another. We feed off of it at times, and always enjoy it. To much can be harmful but just enough can bring a high amount of pleasure. We get pleasure from doing what we do, pleasure and excitement.

I am getting hungry and i was supposed to go running about 15 minutes ago so i have to go.

But for the most part i think i got my point across.

One Love,

Ghasty

I've locked this thread for 2 reasons

1) its against nico rules to discuss street drifting

2) I like to have the last word.

There is no excuse to street drift. If you live in an area where there aren't events SET THEM UP. I started organizing parking lot events about 3 years ago and have been drifting for 4 years now. I've never street drifted in my life. Honest to god/flying spaghetti monster. I consider myself a decent driver and I'm living proof street drifting is not necessary to be "good" or even turn professional

If you want advice or organizing events I'll be more than happy to help but not if you all maintain your pro street drifting attitude.
