What kind of turbo you looking to buy? a T2 flanged? T3 flanged?

if you got a T2 flanged turbo the ebay ones work fine since a lot of ka-t people use them and are cost effective.

If you got a T3 flanged turbo a jgs log mani or a treadstone performance would work fine.

For the price of 5 T2 flanged ebay manifolds you can get 1 jgs or treadstone performance manifold. I doubt you will go through 5 ebay manifolds. Many people on this forum and on ka-t.org use the T2 flanged turbo without any problems. The t3 flanged manifold will give you more choices for turbo's IMO.

JGS.

Follow the turbo link, and then to your application.

Their starter kit is everything you need. Remember, you get what you pay for...

To piggyback on this thread... I plan on getting the JGS kit, but I want a bottom mount manifold. Any recommendations?

I think both AMS and Fullrace offer them. I've seen someone weld a t3 flange onto a SSAC ebay manifold, too. But I'm wondering if there are any other options I don't know...

Search about AMS. Good luck getting a KA manifold out of them. Full Race is crazy exspensive unless you have REALLY high power goals.

Odds are that the JGS will suit your needs

JGS FTW...

SSAC T2 manifolds are great of you want to use a turbo that is far to small for the KA. If you think JGS is to expensive, then you shouldn't be considering boost at all.

I will make you a copy of my AMS manifold if your willing to pay for it. My buddy is a fully certified welder who welded on nuclear reactors, and fabricates for a living. AMS's bottom mount manifold kicks ***, but you will probably never get them to make another batch. After the group buy we just did, i got my manifold 10 months later. People are still pissed off about it lol, AMS ditched the 240 crowd for the EVO and Scoobie(bank roll) crowd.

If your dead set on a bottom mount, its either Nuekin(sp??) or Full race. Nuekin seems like a good way to go with the price of 650, but its not equal length. Full race and the AMS manifold are equal length, but your paying Yabout 1000 bucks for them. you cant really get the AMS manifold(unless you go through me ) so that leaves you with full race only for an equal length manifold.

OP - JGS is the way to go.

Xcessive, Neukin, Peakboost all make the same type of tubular T3 top mount manifolds for about $800.

Neukin also makes a bottom mount T3 manifold for $650 but you it's not compatible with AC if you have it.

ETD makes a log/tubular type of manifold for about $500 bucks. It a pretty sturdy looking top mount manifold for one who doesn't want to spend big bucks.

If you are too cheap to spend money on a manifold IMO, dont boost at all.

If you want a cheap 280whp setup, get a SSAC manifold with a s15 t28 turbo.

T2 flange won't make great power if youre trying to push 380whp (the reason why i'm selling my bottom mount setup).

I bought a rev hard cast manifold for the time being and i like it. It fits well and does its job just fine and for under 300 bucks. I bought it for a temp until i can find time to finish fabricating my own manifold.

thats the ebay T3 manifold if im not mistaken. Those have a tendency to crack from what I have seen. + their resale value sucks and ive also heard they somtimes have clearance issues with the bmc. Im sure there are people out there that stand by it and like it tho.

http://www.treadstoneperforman...y=403

Ive heard decent things bout this manifold and its affordable.

I understand that you want the best 'bang for the buck', but you have to remember two things about KA-Ts.

1) You get what you pay for.

2) You have to pay to play.

KA-Ts can be had on the cheap, but it all depends on what your power goals and budget constraints are.

Which is why I'm building mine before kids.

The ebay bottom mounts hold up great, you would be fine with one of those. They are stainless mandrel bent runners, you dont have to worry about them failing.

Technically i could make you one, but its not going to be worth it for you IMO. If you want to talk about it send me an email, its in my profile.

Gotta give us some info dude.

Was your car running perfect before? What have you done since it was running well? Do you have a wideband? Do you have a CEL?All your plugs have the same level of carbon(black) on them? What are you using for tuning, and what size injectors are you running?
