the plugs look like they have a lot of carbon build up brand new O2 sensor (bosch) no check engine light it was running crappy b4 but i change the injector on cyl. 3 now it runs better stock injectors stock cpu i was messing with the timing from the distributor if i advance it is shakes a lot now when i retard the timing the shaking gets better but i retard it all the way and it still shake a little bit
I would make sure you dont have any vacum leaks from removing the egr system. but it sounds more like a ignition problem to me. I had the same problem and couldn't figure it out until i was working on it at night and noticed spark jumping between the spark plug wires while it was running so i put on a new set of plug wires along with new a new dist. cap and rotor and it ran like a champ. I would also make sure all your msd ign. wires abd connections are tight and wired right. hope this helps

Thats ignition timing, the only timing that you will need to worry about unless you messed with the timing chain. Rent a timing light and check your ignition timing if your not sure about it.

save up 650 and go jgs mani/dp, then find you a good t3/t4 50 trim for 3-600.

good low boost setup with room to grow... (boost:))

yes, but depending on where you tap your return line, you may need to grind out one corner of the a/c bracket. I did because I didn't pay attention when I tapped mine..

I don't think it'll be a problem though, the bracket with the other 3 bolts are very beefy to start with

ok imma piggy back on this and bring it back lol. Anyway im a noob and unless i missed it whats a dec T3 flange bottom mount mani? did someone say JGS makes one? If i just wanna have a low boost, under 8 lbs, low power setup to run for awhile should i just get a t28 and a egay manifold? I was thinking a rb25 turbo but then i would need a T3 flange right?

Nuekin makes a bottom mount manifold but you cant use AC with it..

If your just going for a low boost setup do the 1500 dollar bottom mount t25 setup with a FMU and you'll be good to go.

JGS is a topmount manifold, but technically you can mount the turbo which ever way you want if you get the DIY kit.

Btw.. this post ftw
sunnys14 wrote:Xcessive, Neukin, Peakboost all make the same type of tubular T3 top mount manifolds for about $800.

Neukin also makes a bottom mount T3 manifold for $650 but you it's not compatible with AC if you have it.

ETD makes a log/tubular type of manifold for about $500 bucks. It a pretty sturdy looking top mount manifold for one who doesn't want to spend big bucks.

If you are too cheap to spend money on a manifold IMO, dont boost at all.

If you want a cheap 280whp setup, get a SSAC manifold with a s15 t28 turbo.

T2 flange won't make great power if youre trying to push 380whp (the reason why i'm selling my bottom mount setup).

so fmu? a safc will suffice tho right? I think ill go sr injectors, t25 or t28 , safc, and a walbro pump. Oh and a ecu reflash... that should be fine for a low boost setup right?

The best way to do it is just go with an Enthalpy tune. SAFC is a hack job and loves to blow motors.

A FMU is something that raises your fuel pressure per psi of boost, effectively increasing the size of your injectors to compensate for the boost. An 8:1 FMU is perfect for a boosted car, and is a hell of a lot safer, cheaper, and more reliable than a SAFC tune. Its kinda ghetto but works like a champ.

If anyones interested in a manifold from me just send me an email. [email protected] and we'll talk about it. Cant set up a group buy here without permission. They are defiantly going to be made though sometime before christmas.

The Godspeed manifolds are the same as the ebay/chinese manifolds. In short, they suck and crack like its their job. Or the wastegate flange literally blows off. In some cases they have created their own miniature black holes and just simply wink out of existence. Try getting a refund after that happens.

Chinese eBay stuff.

It might work, but the welds might blow out. I don't think anyone on NICO really advertises the use of eBay turbo parts because the risk isn't worth the reward. For a couple extra dollars you can get a made in America tried and true JGS manifold.

Ohh you dirty sob, i want one of those so damned bad. Did you pay 1300+ for it? Eventually i will have one.. I didnt know about it when i did the AMS GB or i would have just paid the extra and gotten it instead.

You should rent me yours for a two weeks !!!! I just want one for myself. Wayy to much respect for full race, but that price is redic.

Peakboost, Xcessive and Synapse mani is like $900

Spending an extra $400 for the best manifold money can buy is nothing compared to what I've spent on this car.

I am selling my bottom mount setup and turbo for anyone who is interested. It makes great power, I just want bigger and bigger. Twinscroll 35R anyone?

wht are you selling and for how much?im not lookin for anything to crazy just a t28 on 8lbs i think. im still planning but i just want a little more fun in a dd. So im gonna get a megan bottom mount manifold i think. i dont want to deal with a top mount when i can just use an sr downpipe. I know this soundds stupid but if i get a megan would it be better then some of the other cheap stuff.
